Road to the park is a little narrow, make sure you come via the A53. The car park is tarmac hard standing and free, with benches and tables for picnics. Toilet facilities were open and spotless and information boards provide good information about walks, these can be very muddy, so good boots needed.

Quite a few different walk options and good for parking. I was disappointed to find toilets were closed when I went as it was quite busy. I've never been in the visitor centre there.

Small country park set around two former reservoirs and bounded at the bottom by the Caldon Canal. Two of the paths involve crossing the stream by stepping-stones - these are large flat concrete slabs set close together. Visitors Centre seems to be open only at weekends.

Nice place for walking some of walks fairly demanding and gets you out in the fresh air some nice views...

Deep Hayes Country Park lies in the Churnet Valley and is set in a natural bowl in the hillside. It is a mixture of woods, meadows and pools all of which can be explored by an extensive network of walks and nature trails. Unfortunately the Visitor Centre has been closed due to council cutbacks but public toilet facilities are available as it is easy to spend an entire day (or more) exploring the park and surrounding countryside.
