16/04/23: quick stop after a 21km walk along the Longdendale Trail. Had a pint of Dizzy Blonde. Really friendly service. Dog friendly!
Wonderful atmosphere. Staff amazing and cant do enough to make your visit memorable. Food is home cooked and VERY reasonably priced. A must if you in the area.
Restaurant/pub quite upon arrival and with plenty of seating available upstairs and down in the main bar area. The pub would benefit from a midweek special menu/offer as this would attract more customers. The food was typical pub food. More beans and less chips needed with pie The pub was a little on the cold side, but we are in the awkward season change so I can forgive that one. I will be back for a second visit.
Attended for a christening in the function room it's a stunning room perfect for a small wedding reception! Only flaw was the bar & toilets was down stairs which was a little difficult for people unsteady on there feet. Bar well stocked and quick service.
The room to hire is great for family celebrations. I've used it several times and always a great atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and even in the bar area itself, is a great place to be. Again the staff are top rank and some of the locals in there are brilliant, with a good old fashioned traditional pub atmosphere.
Lovely well run local pub. Great landlord and landlady. Good beer and great selection. Perfect location for functions with a free function room upstairs. No food at the moment, but a lovely local pub.

Ate here Sunday afternoon. Although they were busy with a function upstairs we were served very quickly. The food was hot and tasty . Very large portions so couldn't finish mine and I have a good appetite too. Thankyou
