Beers cheap and the pub is lively so don't go if you want to chat. Big bar buy usually only 2 serving and you may be waiting.
Great atmosphere, staff really nice.
Would not recommend the bar staff are bully's and the landlady is an absolute creature. We went in with our dog to have a few drinks which they said we were allowed to do then they kicked us out for having our dog in the pub . On top of that they let us buy drinks before they kicked us out but refused to give us plastic cups to take our drinks that we paid for. Then because we refused to leave without our drinks they started to threaten us and once we left she got her daughter and her friends to chase us down the street and attempt to assault us. Disgusting behavour
Friendly staff and customers with well cheap drinks
Similar to Weatherspoons, very good priced drinks, don't think they do food. Has a Polker tournament every Friday.
One thing what I can say about the staff bang on excellent tops fabulous DJ excellent can't thank you enough brought back happy days sometimes you can have a conversation when the music is loud but you go with the flow say no more thank you very much cheers top-quality happy days
I nice boozer with a good feel about the place , a smattering of locals & soft background soul music tv on in the background. Volume off ??
It's not the Wetherspoons it was but hey: Amber Taverns have gone all the way to clean it up, refurbishment all over, great outside area at the rear. Good real ale and beer selection all round. The landlord is a good easy going lad albeit young but a lot of experience well worth a visit anytime. Doesn't seem to have picked up just yet but only a matter of time. As for the bar staff all friendly and polite, nice people no exception at all, thank you
Nice pub. Getting back most of the regulars who used to frequent the establishment after Wetherspoons closed it! Nice inexpensive prices, a great range of different beers and lagers, friendly atmosphere. If you are a visiting Hyde, and you feel like a tincture or two, then I can personally highly recommend The Cotton Bale.
