Guildford Spectrum is one of our favourite places for a family day out and we come here regularly for the swimming. My daughter absolutely loves the water facilities with the slides splash areas water features and shallow sections where younger children can play and explore. There’s so much going on that she stays entertained for the whole session and never wants to leave. They also have bowling and an arcade which makes the Spectrum a great all round place for families but the swimming is definitely what keeps us coming back.
Big, loads of facilities, plenty of parking. We came for the Extreme Fighting Robots event and had a great time.
A lot squeezed into a fairly small space. Took us a while to work out where things were and which slides the children could use some are under 1m, some over and some for everyone. A member of staff was very helpful in explaining. I didn't take any photos as we were swimming, but it would be helpful to have more photos on the website and more information before you go in. We didn't hear the announcement for the wave machine until after we'd got out. It was very noisy!
we were there for the manchester storm’s visit to play guildford. the ice hockey itself is a great experience, especially with the opportunity to sit so close to the boards, however the front row benches are slightly uncomfortable. queues for alcohol were very long and slow and the food options were a bit lacking. be aware that it can take a while to get out of the car park after matches too. overall though, it is definitely worth a visit!
It was a great pleasure to skate. Eventhough it was not a disco session there was a dj playing nice energetic music right next to i e rink. There's good amount of time in the session, plenty of sessions to choose from. Price is good and plenty of good facilities. I will definitely come back and recommend to both beginners and advanced skaters.
