The food was tremendous and so authentic that you think you are in india. And to top it off, the staff was really helpful and super nice. Would highly recommend this place, especially if your coming from the states and need to experience some great Indian food.

Had dinner at Guglee last night. Very disappointing food. Had a lamb curry and 'guglee handi' chicken, and a yellow dal, rice and naan. The food arrived within about 4 mins of us ordering and was all burning hot - clearly everything had just been nuked for us. The lamb and chicken tasted very similar to each other. The dal was watery and needed salt. All three dishes had a bitter, too-spicy taste. But not spicy in a good way - no sense of a rich flavour from a good mix of spices, rather just too much chilli. I was very hungry yet didn't find any of them particularly appetizing. We took most of it home with us, and it all tasted a bit better having cooled down. But these were not cheap curries: £40 for those dishes and one lassi, no other drinks. Mains that are north of £10 should be a lot more interesting. This place has pretensions, but doesn't live up to them at all.
