Inception Planning provided a very professional and comprehensive service when I needed help finding my way through the complicated process of obtaining Planning Permission recently. The team were always on hand when I had questions and unfailingly provided clarity and reassurance through their obvious long-standing experience. I always felt confident that they knew the system thoroughly and they achieved a positive result for me first time.
I appointed Inception Planning to help with a stressful enforcement notice I had from my local council. They were recommended by my architect after another consultant declined to take my case due to the niche nature of my situation. I was concerned about how expensive this process would be, but it turned out to be exactly what was quoted, with no hidden extras. I feel the service I received was thoughtful and tailored for my situation. Not a cookie-cutter approach at all. They patiently answered all my questions and we worked together to formulate the planning applications. The best thing was obviously when I received a positive outcome for my application, but hiring Nick and his team meant that the whole process was as stress free as possible.
I appointed Nick Griffin from Inception Planning six months ago, for what should have been relatively simple planning applications, have turned out to be quite complicated, due to Council hold ups. Throughout the whole process, Nick has been utterly professional and always on hand for advice and support. There is no way I could have handled all of this on my own and I am so glad that I employed Inception Planning right at the beginning.
INCOMPETENT - STAY AWAY We enquired with Inception Planning for planning to be submitted for a log cabin home since May 2021 and an application for an outbuilding was made instead in Oct, as from their experience this had "a higher success rate". Our neighbour put an objection in and we had to contact Inception for them to do something. They never kept us up to date with anything , and we had to constantly chase them, the only time they contacted was to ask for money. We were informed a month ago that the council will object to our proposal and we might as well give up. I have went with a different planning company and they have managed to get me results within a month!
Inception planning limited was used by us after a very bad experience with my previous architect who’s messed up our planning application and managed to upset our planning department . Nick Griffin our planning advisor from Inception Planning Ltd has re- build good communication with planning officers, has been always so very helpful, responding promptly, representing us professionally . With nine objections in total , boundary dispute , TPO, very nasty neighbours, several other problems he managed to get planning permission granted with in a couple of weeks. We can’t thank you enough Nick !
This review is not designed to provide a legal appraisal of their handling of my case and is simply offered as my personal opinion of how they engaged with us on a recent planning appeal. I was fully aware that appeals could not be guaranteed when we started the process, however, I have concerns about their overall engagement with us. We explained our case and they agreed to act for us. The first draft of the appeal letter was basic in my opinion and I felt some items were missing. They made minor amendments but didn’t materially change the appeal submission. The planning inspector ultimately rejected the appeal and although not specifically stated within his report I consider the missing items had an impact on that decision. I also felt that there was a lack of engagement and suggestions about what to do next when the appeal came back. Overall, I would recommend using another company.
We would thoroughly recommend Inception Planning.They recently helped us gain planning permission for our extension. They provided a very professional service, so obviously rooted in their knowledge and experience. They were endlessly patient with our questions and requests, and we were always confident that they knew the system and we therefore accepted their advice. Thank you to all the team.
Inception Planning successfully gained approval for a new dwelling in Guildford after approval had been denied in the first instance with a different company. Inception Planning had the knowledge of the local and national plan to redesign the application for success this was backed up with an excellent D&A statement and communication with all parties. The site had boundary complications which Inception Planning navigated a way forward and gained approval from the council. I have already recommended Inception Planning to a friend who have also achieved success with Inception Planning. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Inception Planning
We contacted Inception planning ltd yesterday about Toob full-fibre broadband company trying to install a huge 9 meters telecommunication pole at the front of our house in Blackwater , today late afternoon their planning consultant called us with a great news , Inception planning managed to come to a agreement with Toob and they agreed to install the pole elsewhere .
Really helpful and knowledgeable firm!
