- walk to Wye valley is one hour through lovely woods straight from campsite through a sheep field. - walk to town is also really quick and passing an amazing kids playground. - town has really great takeaway shop for chips and pizza, best I’ve ever had. And, also had a great small pub suitable for dogs had a dog related pub name. - campsite has a dishwasher that’s really, really useful. - not super impressed with the cost of laundry on site - better for a refresh than actually laundry needs. - flower garden beautiful and site well maintained.
I visited Green Acres out of high season in March. Green Acres is a beautiful and very well managed site with friendly and helpful staff. The weather was typically British when we arrived and the owners worked tirelessly to shuffle everyone around and ensure it didn't impact our stay. We were kindly allowed to pitch our campervan on an area of hard standing ground with access to an electric hook up as the grass pitch I booked had become muddy. The toilet and shower block is immaculate and in excellent condition and the showers were very warm and clean. The site shop is well stocked and they serve lovely fresh coffee and freshly baked croissants for breakfast. The staff recommended a nearby Italian restaurant for dinner, Amici and it was excellent with fresh home cooked style food and reasonably priced. We were cycling in the nearby Forest of Dean and Green Acres is perfect for access to FOD. Our cycling clothes got very muddy and the Green Acres staff were kind enough to wash and dry our kit for us ready for day 2 as we travelled over to Bike Park Wales. A really beautiful part of the world where you're made to feel welcome and at home. The service goes above and beyond! Thank you and hope to return very soon regardless of the weather, it didn't spoil our fun thanks to your kindness and hospitality :
