A decent miniature railway line and station with working steam engines. We visited in a large family group for a birthday party and had an enjoyable experience. The adventure playground, picnic area with forest trail was good for the little ones and kept them entertained for the duration of our visit.

A charming afternoon out. It's intended to be a children's attraction first and foremost and it has no shortage of kids' activities and play areas. However, it's still a real (albeit small) steam railway set in a very pretty woodland estate, and well worth a visit for all ages. The staff are friendly and polite and there's good provision for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Another fun filled day at penny grove we have been visiting for the last three years and the children never get board. The staff are very helpful .

Nice place any time of the year to spend with kids, a village for kids inside the cafe very cosy. A road with trains for kids to play while you eat and a window to see them running around the village. To on the train was nice too, we've visited end of November and there were hardly any people. The driver of the train let the little one to see inside the engine train. Must be more fun summer time because of two playgrounds outside, one of those can only be reached on train.

Nice location, if remote, friendly staff. Disappointed to find a diesal-only day when not advertised as such. It would be helpful if the program leaflets included a map of the site showing walks.
