Super cheap council car park within easy walking distance. Didn't stay but had a meal and it was great. Fully loaded plates. Good pub food, reasonable prices, lovely staff, nice surroundings. Also decent music playing that was not in your face. Dog friendly in the bar. Shout out to the server with the butterfly tattoos. She was lovely. Walkability: In the little town, close to car park and in with the shops Noteworthy details: Advisable to book as gets busy. They only serve food at certain times of the day. Veggie friendly. Very old building and feels cosy.
Popped in for a drink whilst visiting the area. Lovely friendly people. Pub area can get very busy. Food served upto 1.45pm and the restaurant opened again at 6pm. The restaurant area is away from the drinking area. Food was Brilliant! It was our favourite place we eat at. The waitress was very polite, helpful and friendly: not just with us, but with all the customers she served. When we return to Coleford, we will definitely have another meal at this place.
Spent 4 nights here. Perfect location for all walks. Lovely room with large ensuite. Happy helpful staff. Amazing breakfast cooked to order.Rooms: 5/5
Had food here. £5 menu. Was tasty, hot and filling. A locals kinda place but made to feel very welcome.

Can't comment about the rooms as we didn't stay here. But thank goodness for a good old fashioned pub. No frills. Takes me back to my youth. I loved it.Rooms: 1/5
Place steeped in history, well worth a stay over or pop in just for food or quick drink.You will receive a warm welcome. Food affordable drinks very varied . Garden out back no grass though. Please give this place a try you won't regret itRooms: 4/5
We had a lovely one night stay here, the breakfast was very good and set us up for the day of travelling up to Snowdonia. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms: Rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy. Food & drinks: Lovely
Went for Sunday lunch . Much improved since the last time I'd been there. Large portions and hot .
