Cameron was amazing behind the bar. Baby Guinness was on point and he is so friendly. Love his attitude and personality. Food was so nice bit gutted about plain seasoning on fries but still tasted good. Way too hot as the evening went on but Cameron sorted that by opening doors for us otherwise we wouldn't be able to stay as long. All staff friendly and good chat felt like family honestly. I will be bringing my children next time they will love it.
Visited on Saturday, was hard to find a table which is good. As when we ordered our food and it arrived. I myself had Posh Fish and Chips with a side order of onion rings. My partner had the Ultimate Burger. Food was gorgeous, hot and delicious. Service was quick and friendly. The waitress I felt a bit sorry for as she was the only one working. Never seen her once stop for five minutes in the two hours we were there. Maybe the manager of this establishment should have a rethink of hiring more waitresses on days when he knows it’s going to be busy at weekends.
Great local pub with decent grub and friendly service and atmosphereFood: 4/5
I go most days for a beer.but will rethink. There is never enough staff .. Today was possibly the worst .there was discount day on food .so all the tables were booked out . If you know you've got extra customers, get extra staff in ... I went the harboune stores ..got served in a flash..it's not complicated.. Micheal I think his name was was faced with maybe 20 customers on his own. Poor lad ..he was doing his best ...

It is nice to have a local pub with a rustic feel to it, the general atmosphere is relaxing. Food - Is typical of most Ember's. Drink - it was cold and served fine. Staff - they do what they need to do. Nothing really notable as going above and beyond. App - don't even bother. The offers when ordering to table don't work and more hassle than worth. Atmosphere - the fireplace has interesting artifacts and books on. It would be nice instead of a small table in front, to have the electric fire glowing and making the place look more warming. It wasn't cold at all, but a nice red glow from a fireplace would be really nice. Some of the tables are a bit quirky! Notes pile of boxes and glasses at end of bar makes look a bit of a dumping ground. Parking - be sure to register numberplate, but it is free and plenty available. It really is a nice place, but does need a little attention to bring it up to 5*.
Visited on a Monday and ate three courses from the lunchtime menu. The staff were friendly and the range of drinks was good. The food was great value and the sticky toffee pudding was great to finish the meal. Three courses and a pint for under £20.Food: 5/5
