Lovely pub! Traditional neighbourhood pub that has a good ballance between people having a drink and people wanting a meal. Great selection of beers in tap lots of 5 points brewery and other local lagers, plus your standard Guinness etc. Felt like a good mix of people here too: locals, families, friends celebrating birthdays and lots of dogs too! Will have to come back for food one day, but definitely worth it for a pint or two. Good staff also
Excellent birthday lunch! The staff at Green Goose were so accommodating and lovely for a big birthday lunch I had there recently. We're regulars, and made sure to book in plenty of time. Even though it was a busy Sunday, we were sat in the perfect spot and had exceptional service throughout. Bigger parties can be a bit tricky, especially with food orders, but we were never made to feel in the way. We were happy to pre-order and got exactly what we all wanted. To top it off, I had such a cute birthday dessert, which I dug into right away! Highly recommend.
It’s a great pub with an excellent atmosphere. Staff are helpful and friendly and there’s a great menu for bar bites or food in the restaurant. The outdoor space is amazing in the summer and I’ve had a fun time at the quiz! I really enjoy this pub, it’s perfectly located for being a fun community space!
Old faithful! When you are craving a post work pint, a classic pub lunch or just the vibes of a fun and consistent pub - the Green Goose is the place to go! I have never been disappointed by going and have only been welcomed by the staff. If you are afraid of geese do not go here. There are a lot of geese memorabilia. It’s not bad! But there is a lot.
A good solid pub. Very friendly staff and the starters were really good. Roasts were good too but a few things that weren't to our preference but good quality and good portions!
A lovely find. Beautifully worn wooden floors and what must be a Chesterfield sofa large enough to see 20. Cosy looking eating area at the backside of pub. Delightful staff and pleasant atmosphere.
Love this place - the food is super good! Everything we tried was very tasty: the Sunday roast, the chicken wings starter, the steak and they are still doing 10£ main special on weekdays. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is one of our favourite pubs in the area.
Lovely bar really lively with great atmosphere. We popped in for a pint and stayed for dinner. Recommend the boneless chicken wings and the short rib burger. Home made chicken Kiev to die for! We sat outside under a huge umbrella no draft or weather problem. Table service was prompt, we were looked after by Rory who couldn't do enough for us. Top boozer, with a visit!
Unacceptable service. We’ve booked for food and drinks at 8pm for 11 people. We started arriving from 8pm and around 8.30pm we were all sit at the table with our drinks and FOOD MENUS on the tables. At 8.50pm one of us went to ask for food and we’ve been informed that the kitchen was closed. I went to speak to the bartender. I’ve told her “I’m sorry but we here from 8pm and no one cared to inform us that the kitchen was closing? At least 5 of them were working at the pub and they clearly knew that we went there to eat + also, can you not see the food menus on the table?!. The answer of the staff member was “But we cannot go to every table and tell them the kitchen is closed”. 1 - we are talking about a small pub, not a restaurant of 200 seats. 2 - you clearly knew we have booked for food and drinks 3 - we had food menus on the table. The thing the upset me most, it’s the cold response from the staff member who clearly didn’t care. She kept says “I’m sorry I understand” but she didn’t clearly care at all. I work in hospitality and if the same situation happened to me, I would be TRULY apologetic and I would at least offer something to drink. Nothing, ZERO. I’ve been to Green Goose so many times. We are all locals and we loved Green goose it was everyone’s favourite spot for our dates too and we were happy to celebrate our xmas with friends from West London too but the evening was ruined. But it wasn’t much ruined for the fact that the kitchen was closed, but for the emotionless approach of the bar staff who clearly didn’t care to provide a better service or truly apologise. Merry Xmas.
Dog friendly. LOVELY staff who are super accommodating and warm. Food is also great. AND they have a gluten free beer on tap… J’obsessed.
