I have had to fight for a prescription for an asthma inhaler. I was spoken to rudely for missing an appointment due to having a severe fever and continuously vomiting. I was therefore unable to call in to cancel my appointment. I have escalated these issues to PALS to escalate the complaint. I have never been spoken to with such callous disregard for being so sick. Absolutely disgusted with the service here.
Iv lost count over the years how often this gas happened. Afew weeks ago I had been ringing doctors for my children whom both have tonsilitis. Start at 8am on the dot and don't get through for over an hour. When they finally answer it almost sounds rehersed ready to shut you down. And tell me to ring 111. That's lead me both times to the hospital waiting 6 hours with both children each time. I'm heavily pregnant a week away from having my baby and due to being in hospital with kids iv caught an infection that's lasted 3 weeks. Unable to sleep or pick my head up. When explained to reception from 8am again I was treated the same way. Apart from 1 difference. They wrote it on the system I tried to get through and to try again to try tomorrow. I'm unable to go hospital with being high risk and so unwell with 2 children. .
Needed a dressing changing following spinal surgery. Told to ring Hope Farm for an appointment who told me they were full. Great Sutton surgery are a joke.
Not good. I fully appreciate the safety of staff and customers however I have been trying to see a doctor for several weeks. Have seen nurse practitioners unfortunately they gave not been able to help. One advised that I needed to see a doctor. I completed an e consult for a doctor. I was informed after a few days that the doctor would ring me between 1700-1710. Doctor called at 2 40 Doctor left voicemail advising they would ring me back that didn't happen. I'm now waiting to speak via phone to a doctor on the 14th June again
Very poor, used to be a good practise but not any more, began ringing at 8.00am this morning, 200 plus calls later my phone stops counting at 200 finally got through to the queue at approx 8.35am , when I finally spoke to someone no appointments available advised me to go to eastham walk in centre! more chance of meeting the pope than seeing a Dr at this place................
The girls and doctors are fantastic, I can not fault the service I've ever had and a big thank you to Charlotte for the reassurance helfulness ten stars
As a family we have been with the practice for almost 3 years. I have never been disappointed by the level of service received. Receptionists are all friendly and as helpful as possible and fighting against a tough crowd looking at the below reviews. On occasion quite a wait on the phone lines but they understandably have patients, doctors, clinician and patient paperwork to process amongst many other things and I think they handle it very well! Thank you!
Appalling service. My dad just needs to see a doctor and keeps getting chinned off by the service desk. If they ever say they will call you back they wont. If they ever say a doctor will be in touch they wont. If they ever say call in the morning, expect a 4 hour wait to be told you're not seeing a doctor. Expect the doctors to have no clue what medication you're taking either as they dont bother reading your history.
Been here for 23 years and the last 5 years the service is a joke. Complete lack of patient care. I waited 7 weeks for an examination after explicitly requesting Dr Gilchrist. When I actually have the appointment it was a completely new dr that was unfamiliar with myself or my case and was under the impression I had requested an ADHD screening…. I have never once even thought I was ADHD let alone request a screening. Also my last dr’s appointment felt more like a private healthcare sales pitch than a GP. Safe to say I’m currently looking for a new gp.
Horrific experience today. Rang at 8.30 this morning and was told doctor would ring me back, which he did at 3.15. Asked me to come in at 10 to 5, l work in Liverpool Heart Hospital so said l could try and leave early to get there. I raced over to the surgery and was told to wait in the green section. Waited 15 mins no sign if any doctors. I asked another lady who was waiting and she said she didnt know what was going and was told to wait in green area. I went to tell the receptionist but she was very rude and ignored me whilst she was fussing over a youngster in a pushchair. I sat back down and waited another 20 mins so decided to go through to the blue area and spoke to a doctor who told me Dr Jones was in the blue area. I told him l had now been waiting over half an hour and he said doctors are very busy people. I explained l knew this as l worked in the NHS, he replied that l should know all about it then and closed his door. A lady in a wheelchair remarked that he was rude and said the place was a shambles. I have to agree with her. I work for some of the most wonderful heart surgeons who are polite, hardworking and civil to all of us at work. I have the upmost respect for them. I am so shocked at the treatment i received at GS Medical Centre was dreadful that l will never go back. Ee, l explained l understood as i worked in hospital at Liverpook and he said, well you should knie all about it then
