Such a great doctors, they use an online booking system in which you can book appointments in the near future just by using the NHS app. This means that on the day appointments for more urgent things are easy to get by calling at 8am and being spoken to pretty much immediately! All the doctors and nurses I've been the patient of have been amazing! Special mention to Dr Rowlinson and Nurse Laura Williams who have always made me feel at ease and cared for! All reception staff are also lovely, I've always felt comfortable speaking to them!
The one star I've given is for the one receptionist who isn't rude. So receptionists are extremely rude, manager doesn't care, it seems its a chore for them to speak to you or do anything for you, they are misinformative, don't care attitude and just can't be bothered with you. I will say the doctors are decent though, friendly, and very helpful, it's a shame the front of house let's them down.
I’ve had a lot of the contact with the GP and nurses at Hope Farm given I have a long term condition and everyone has been helpful and polite. This practice has actually got my referred to further support in the one year that I have been with them, than I have had for many more at another practice in Liverpool.
My husband is a patient at this practice. He phoned at just after 8am on Wednesday morning 12th October. He was suffering with back pain and constantly passing urine all night . Considering men are being told to get hold of their doctor urgently incase of prostrate cancer.He was told by reception they had no appointments and to phone 111 . 111 told him to go to A&E which he did still in pain .. They did a scan at A&E and took a sample of urine told him he had a bad water infection. It would of been so much easier if the practice had said send a water sample to us and we will test it . Instead of taking up the time of the hospital and nurses . He has been prescribed Antibiotics to clear the infection .
Dr powell is a caring, considerate and gentle dr. So glad to have him .
I've been using this GP surgery since I moved to Ellesmere Port 7 years ago. The receptionists are very helpful I've found, always willing to help. Not had any issues getting appointments or care during covid. Pre covid it can be quite hard to get an appointment on the day, but this is the same everywhere. The patient access app is good to book appointments also. My GP is fantastic and always understanding. The nurses are all great too thanks for looking after me when needed!
I found everyone to be friendly, helpful, professional and courteous from first contact on the phone, to reception, nurses and doctors.
Reception staff are rude & seem the believe they are medically trained. Perhaps they should be more concerned about finding a solution to all the appointments being taken by the same people everyday within 10 minutes of opening. The only reason my family are still registered here is due to the fact the docotors & nurses are brilliant.
Think some of the reviews posted are a joke and unfair hope farm is a busy group practice with a large work load like any other practice in Ellesmere port I have found the doctors there to be very caring and the reception team have always been helpful to me. Doctors can only do so much to promote your good health, much is up to you to take their advice and do as they suggest. by doing this there would be more appointments available for them to treat people with more serious illness instead of taking time up with things that could be possibly dealt with at a pharmacy .They are humane beings not machines
Doctors and reception staff could not be more helpful and realise we are in unprecedented times. However, three and one half weeks from GP appointment to referral letter being typed and sent does seem excessive!!
