Came from out of town, all indications including Web site stated it was open, poorly sign posted, worse still all closed for the comic testing station. Both Leeds and York are able to combine both so wasn't aware of closure. Sign posts when found did not state shut.
This review related to the current Covid Testing Center. The centre is well run, with helpful and friendly staff who guide you through each step of the process. Results are returned quickly from this centre.
The business of this location is no longer a park and ride. The site is being used as a COVID drive-in testing MEDICAL FACILITY.
Used this park and ride a few days ago during a family day out to Newcastle, busses was clean and modern we purchased a day pass so that we could make use of the busses in the city centre to save on some leg work. The car park itself was easy to find and well signposted off of the A1, it was almost completely empty which was a surprise.
This Park & Ride car park is about 5.5 miles north of Newcastle. The Q3 bus service takes you into city centre, and on to the Quayside and Wallsend. Passes through busy suburbs and commuter route, so allow plenty time for journey during peak times.
If you're travelling from the north, this is the best option to avoid traffic. Free parking, massive car park and the bus is less than £4 return to Elton Square/Haymarket city centre
Miles away from the town. Bus takes you on a around the world journey.I will never use again. Bus also cost £7 return for 2 of us so cheaper to park in the town if there is more than 1 person in your car
It’s shut and you can’t go commute in during the day. There are no signs to say this.
Very useful for us .Being able to park free of charge and catch a shuttle bus into Newcastle city.
One of the best park and rides I've used worldwide !!!! Reliable fast and low cost.
