At the Grantham Arms, you'll find Great Yorkshire Food, Stylish Accommodation and the Perfect Spot to unwind over drinks with friends, family or colleagues

Our Restaurant serves classic, comforting dishes made something special by the fantastic Yorkshire produce we use and the care our chefs put in to creating every dish. On Sundays we also offer a traditional Sunday Lunch Menu, featuring at least two traditional roasts. We’re also a great venue for a few drinks: with an extensive Wine List, great selection of Beers and Ciders and even a Gin Bible & Cocktail List there’s something for every occasion.

Our stylish accommodation makes the perfect base for exploring both Harrogate and York, which are both only half an hour away, or for exploring the stunning scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales. As well as classic hotel accommodation available on a Bed and Breakfast Basis we also have a self-catering apartment, which is perfect for families or larger groups.

Didn't stay over so the rating is for food only.nnHad a birthday meal here, a lovely fish pie with greens. The service as brilliant, attentive and kind staff who made us and our dog feel very welcome. Better service than at some of the fancy restaurants we visit.nThe fire was on and a great cosy atmosphere and they sang happy birthday to me which was so kind.nWe had no starters so shared cheese and biscuits after and had chocolate mousse dessert.nEverything was delicious, warm, well presented and a lovely experience. Thank you.
Last minute Sunday roast plans - the lunch was so so good, opted for beef which was just fabulous; It literally cut like butter. Veggies cooked to perfection & yorkshire puddings were gigantic.nReally what Sundays are made for. And the lovely Georgia was fantastic start to finish. So lucky to have this on our doorstep. X
Really enjoyed our meal at Grantham Arms, staff were very accommodating, kind and generous. We arrived early for our booking and we were welcomed and accommodated for.nThe drinks and food are well priced, and matching the excellent quality of the food as well.nWould definitely recommend and come again.
My wife and I met two friends for lunch. Booked on the website, we were warmly greeted and offered the menus. A very good selection of different styles of food. The food arrived and was well presented and tasted delicious. Beef Bourginon, mussels X2 and a chicken burger. All four of us agreed what a lovely place it was. Oh yes, desserts, dark chocolate mousse X2 divine, rice pudding and cherry Bakewell.nWe will definitely be coming here for our next meeting up.
The Grantham Arms sits beside a roundabout, near the River Ure, a short distance from the town centre. We had cycled about 40 miles that day, so weren't that keen about exploring Boroughbridge on foot, anyway. The welcome and service were very professional and helpful, and the rooms were roomy and comfortable. The bar and restaurant choices were extensive and the service in the evening was excellent. Our bikes were stored securely in a storeroom, so were were more than happy with our brief stay. Good value for money.
