Story

At the Grantham Arms, you'll find Great Yorkshire Food, Stylish Accommodation and the Perfect Spot to unwind over drinks with friends, family or colleagues

Our Restaurant serves classic, comforting dishes made something special by the fantastic Yorkshire produce we use and the care our chefs put in to creating every dish. On Sundays we also offer a traditional Sunday Lunch Menu, featuring at least two traditional roasts. We’re also a great venue for a few drinks: with an extensive Wine List, great selection of Beers and Ciders and even a Gin Bible & Cocktail List there’s something for every occasion.

Our stylish accommodation makes the perfect base for exploring both Harrogate and York, which are both only half an hour away, or for exploring the stunning scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales. As well as classic hotel accommodation available on a Bed and Breakfast Basis we also have a self-catering apartment, which is perfect for families or larger groups.

Found this place by accident really. Very impressed by the warm welcome and helpful service. Hadn't booked a table but it wasn't a problem. The menu looked good and when the food arrived it was better than expected. I had a steak and ale pie which was amazing, my good lady had fish and chips and the fish was huge and perfect. Great beers and a good wine list. Priced very reasonably too. We were so impressed we dined there again the following evening.

Nice place shame about the food. Fairly stylish modern pub with a good range of lager and beers complemented by an extensive collection of unusual gins Chalkboard specials complemented the a la carte menu however we found the portions to be small, especially the starters. The staff were attentive and welcoming as was a comfortable bedroom we stayed in for the night. In fact the only disappointing element was the food that was served up I doubt we will stay there again as there are many other Inns and Taverns to explore
