The Ship Inn is a based in the historic town of Aldborough. Fantastic country pub with real ales,fine wine and lovely home-cooked food. Dogs welcome in bar

Story

We are one of very few real country pubs left, with 'proper' food and great beer to go along with the great atmosphere and great locals, the ship is ideal for a family, a simple drink or that something special.
We have a great beer garden that's ideal for families and those of you with dogs, we're also dog friendly inside the pub too!

Being in the trade myself for 30 years I know a good place when I see one! This is a credit to the management! Always spotlessly clean and has a good selection of quality beer ( Can't beat Timothy Taylor's) The food was excellent to the point I asked how they cooked their beef. it was the best I have had in years! Well done! The staff are attentive without being intrusive and friendly without being familiar. Top marks! The garden is stunning and a great place to chill while enjoying a nice pint (or two!) Can definitely recommend .

Best meal I've had in along time. Interesting and varied menu. Great service. Very reasonable prices. Wll be going again soon.

Best Sunday roast I’ve had in years. Lots of meat, gravy and veg! I hope to go back soon.

Sunday lunch here today was fantastic !! Nice friendly helpful staff. Beef melted in your mouth gorgeous gravy & yorkshires whole thing was superb highly recommend it just pre-book.
