Gomersal Park Hotel

Story

Set in beautiful parkland yet only 5 minutes from the M62, this sought after venue is for those who appreciate great taste and quality at really sensible rates.

Located at the very heart of West Yorkshire, Leeds is just 15 minutes away, Bradford 10 minutes, Huddersfield 10 minutes and Halifax and Wakefield equally close.

Myself and family attended the hotel for their Halloween murder mystery evening. There were plenty of staff on hand to serve the themed welcome drinks. The room was well dressed for the occasion and tables well spaced. The 3 course meal was delicious with large portions and they catered well for a gluten free diet. The entertainment was excellent. I would definitely attend one of their events again
The staff couldn't be more helpful, they even changed my room, but the beds are old open coil disasters! Some rooms had better showers than others, a little bit of mould. The leisure facilities were great, however the food needs some work. I can see they're trying but they're just missing the mark. Could be great but as it is I wouldn't stay again.
We provided the Sax & DJ package for Katie's 18th Birthday Party. An incredible venue that worked really well in accommodating for live music and an excellent party atmosphere! The staff were extremely professional and welcoming, the food was fantastic and the venue was beautiful. And as an added bonus - it was fully air conditioned, which was particularly favourable for the heatwave this weekend. If you're looking for a wedding venue for your big day, look no further.
Stayed here for one night with my daughter. We were in room 303 which is a family room. I was soo impressed! It is tucked away so very quiet. It was spotless. Jess on reception was so welcoming infact, all the staff working were lovely. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, the coffee was perfect. The pool area is really nice and we were told the kids swimming times when we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay.
Spa is amazing had a wonderful back massage and facial on the afternoon tea package. As we've been numerous times before and loved the afternoon tea even recommended to many.... sadly this time it was a let down. Why change what was faultless before. Definitely recommend the spa but not the afternoon tea. Will go again as the spa and staff faultless but will opt out of the tea.
Really bad stand in manager and event's manager, no idea about customer service or how to talk and deal with guest's. So we got asked to leave due to another person in the event we were at, all his fault not our's, staff or so called management did not want or try to understand our point of view, we were spoken to like children me being 56 my friend 62 her daughter 40 not children at all...Absolute waste of time going to the event...Our room what we saw of was standard very basic...Food definitely sub standard was only aired not hot very basic, pudding was the same, who has fudge cake cold Fruit salad no cream or ice cream really for £35.00 Never again.....
I wanted to give this hotel the opportunity to apologise yet they haven't responded to me, so unfortunately I will have to post publicly. We stayed at the Gomersal Park Hotel for one evening in August. Upon arrival my partner used the pool whilst I went to have a drink at the bar. I ordered and paid for a glass of wine which cost £7. There were quite a few wasps about on the terrace and after one or two sips I noticed a dead one in my drink. I went to the bar to ask if there was a possibility of a replacement to be met with sarcastic and rude comments from the man behind the bar - I am assuming now he may be the bar manager. It is clear from the reviews that the rudeness of the bar staff is something that comes up a lot and this member of staff fit that description entirely. He was rude, condescending and belittling and ultimately told me that he would be completely out of pocket if he were to replace my wine. I don’t expect for my wine to be replaced and had he reacted politely and calmly I probably would have just bought another one. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case and I left the bar completely shaken up with the way he spoke to me. I complained to the two members of staff on reception who were extremely understanding to my situation and said they’d take my complaint further. The girl said the least they can do is refund me the cost of the wine. Upon check out nothing was mentioned of my complaint until I asked about it. I was told “on this occasion” that nothing will be done. Hence why I asked for your contact details. It’s a shame as we were really happy with the hotel and the service from the reception staff when we arrived, yet this individual really put a downer on our weekend. I’d urge you to look into the way he speaks to customers and his staff as it’s clear the people who work under him would be too scared to call him out on his behaviour.
Beautiful oldish hotel with a home-like feeling. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in Bradford and I was told of the city vibe. Quite a large estate which I believe will be amazing in the summer for events. Indoor pool and spa that I couldn't visit until next time. Rooms: Spacious room with sofa and TV with a bathtub. Food & drinks: Breakfast was self-service and quite filling.
Went to see a Ed Sheeran tribute with 2 course meal. Tribute as was great couldn't fault him, bar staff was totally opposite, first pint I ordered was flat and off changed it for another and not much better, next drink thought I'd change and have a cider that was same. Meal served the after my wife was brought a cup of tea that hadnt been ordered rest of us was waiting for ours but nothing arrived very poor on service wouldn't recommend at all.
Visit the spa regularly, great staff, steam room and saunas are always nice and hot. Gym is quiet which makes work outs easier as never waiting for equipment, good sized pool, the outside hot tub is great for relaxing after workLocation: 5/5
