Golden Phoenix
"With seven party rooms spread over three floors, large-scale private banqueting is the order of the day at Golden Phoenix. One of Chinatown’s largest restaurants, it’s perfect for weddings, corporate events and birthdays. But they also cater for smaller numbers, so you can dine solo if you so wish. Either way, the regal décor with golden-dragon-adorned walls lends a ceremonial touch, fit for an emperor.Food-wise, Golden Phoenix serves authentic Cantonese cuisine, with an extensive dim sum and à la carte menu. Here, you can feast on succulent Lobster with Ginger and Spring Onions, rich and juicy Pork Chop with Red Bean Curd Paste, sweet and refreshing Fried ‘Pi Pa’ Bean Curd with Crab Meat, and crunchy Prawns with Cashew Nuts."

This is a great place to have dim sum with a solid selection of dishes. They come out quickly as you would expect and your tea is regularly refilled. The food itself is good and is the star of the show. The restaurant is surprisingly big with 3 floor by my count and there's a lot of seating so it can get busy and bustling. The staff are nice enough.
I love this place . Have been coming here for years . Food is good , service is good , staff very friendly . Prefer of to my old place . Here solo diner's are welcome. 23/08/24- I came here yesterday too . Wanted to try their soy chicken. I am glad I did ! It was scrumptious. Had my usual chicken's feet too .
7 out of 10 We went there for lunch, place seems to be very authentic considering the type of clients, menu and decoration. We ordered vegetarian dim sum and vegetable spring rolls as starters. I loved the dim sums, they were tasty, fluffy and full of flavour. Only 1 type of dim sum were suitable for vegetarians and they have a huge menu so that was a low, but the one suitable is very good. Spring rolls crispy and tasty, good, but not as good as the dim sum. As main we ordered vegetarian noodles with veggies, mushrooms and tofu. This was good but has nothing special, average noodles. Service was good and quick and prices are affordable considering quality and size of dishes. I would totally recommend the dim sums.
Nice authentic Chinese dim sum and full of flavours. Staff was tentative, quick service on food. I completely understand they are busy due to the number of tourist and lunch time rush but felt rushed by waiting staff when there was no queue outside considering we were there less than an hour.Food: 4/5
Food is always fresh and prices are reasonable. We ordered 8 dim sum dishes and a plate of stir fried Ho fun noodles. Staff are attentive, friendly and service was efficient - food arrived within minutes of each other. Our tea was also refilled without us asking which I give top marks for hospitality! Always a pleasant experience! Place was packed but service was kept to the highest of standards!
Large 3 floors Chinese restaurant with a very large menu of food items. Our group ordered a vegetable fried rice without egg, a chicken fried rice, broccoli in a garlic sauce and a BBQ beef with boiled rice. All the food was fine, not great. Service is not great, very busy unhappy servers, dropping off food with minimal comments.
My daughter and I had a lovely dim sum lunch on Saturday. Service was polite and friendly and efficient but they didn't rush you as I find in some restaurants on busy days. Food was lovely. We loved the prawn spring rolls, the scallop rolls especially with the flaky outside and the seafood crispy noodles. I think we have found our new go to Dim Sum place. We will be coming back when we visit London again.
Looking at other reviews, i think i got unlucky with the food i ordered chicken satay skewers the chicken was hard and very stringy but i’m not mad about the portion size as i wasn’t hungry at all to order a full meal. On the other hand my mother enjoyed her noodles. I think i will come back here and try different noodles again. There is a £10 minimum per head! The service was fast and we were greeted at the door, staff were friendly and welcoming and worked suuuuper efficiently!
It wasn’t too bad, dim sum was quite good and tasty, service was fine, it wasn’t too hard to get a waiter/waitress attention, it was actually better than many other Chinese restaurants, though it looks a bit old and run down inside, it’s actually not too bad.
I’ve been to this restaurant a few times and must say the service is fantastic however I would say the food was nice but it has definitely been better before , but between 6 of us we definitely had enough food as the portions are big enough to share around and for the price it was definitely worth it .Food: 4/5
