First time visiting this Pizza Express Branch. We had a really nice time, when me and my parents go we buy a lot of different dishes and share them out, we ordered: Margarita Pizza with Mushrooms and Red Onions Calzone Verdure Halloumi Bites Polenta Chips Dough Balls x 2 BBQ Dip This came to approx. £44 which I suppose is quite expensive but you can use your Tesco Clubcard Vouchers here which really helped out. Everything arrived hot, with the chips being super hot. It was the first time trying a Vegetarian Calzone so it was great to see it on the menu, we split this between the three of us and I'm glad we did as I don't think I could manage one whole to myself as it was quite filling. The Red Onions on the pizza were not cooked but this seems to happen in all Italian Restaurants these days so I won't mark it down. The Polenta Chips fell apart, they are super duper soft!! The halloumi Bites were gorgeous as well as the dip it came with. Dough balls a favourite for everyone I think! We're gorgeous as per usual. This Pizza Express was in a nice location with some great shops around it, a lot of other eatery's nearby as well which were packed, this Pizza Express had a few people in but it wasn't crowded. Toilets were nice and clean. Restaurant was clean and tidy, I felt covid safe here. Staff were pleasant. Would visit again Think it's a great place to go if you want to eat somewhere quiet. We did visit Thursday lunch time though! Not at a weekend
This pizza express is based at the top of Liverpool one with a load of other restaurants. You can make a reservation to secure a table or you are able to walk in and see what they have available when you are ready. I visited with a party of 4 and as you can see the table we were placed on was only very small so if you would like a bigger table I would suggest making a reservation. The restaurant was very busy when we visited and there is not much space between tables so this might be something to think about. The staff are friendly and will check into make sure everything is ok. The food did not take to long to arrive and was delicious. I would like to visit again in the future.
Initial service was pleasant, the lovely brunette lad who helped seat us prewarned there was a half hour wait on food but we were happy to wait. It took twenty minutes for someone to come over to take our drink and food order. We only wanted two cokes and by that point already decided on what we wanted food wise. The dough balls we got were lovely. However when I asked to have no cheese in my main dish, I was met with a stunned look before being told it couldn’t be accommodated for and would still be in the sauce of what I wanted. I ordered anyway, however this isn’t a good reflection of flexibility restaurant wise incase anyone was allergic simply because it was more effort. It took fifty minutes for our mains to come and in that time no one had come over to check on us. The food arrived warm. Neither dish actually had any flavour to it. It was just lukewarm pasta. No one checked back on us during or after the meal. It took us a half hour from that point to actually get our bill, I wanted more drinks but by that point I was so over the service and wanted to leave/spend my money elsewhere.
We went as a family of 10 with two young children. We had a great time; it's very family friendly and we were well looked after. The food is fine but not outstanding and not cheap; we can get two courses, drinks and coffee at an independent Italian in the city for the price of one course and drink here, so we wouldn't dine here as a couple; but for a large family outing it can't be beaten, and we were well looked after by the staff. Kid-friendliness: Booked in advance. The highchair was waiting for us & there was plenty of room to put the pushchair at the side if the table. The kids were given colouring pencils and an activity sheet which they loved. Nappy changing facilities in the toilets.
Great price, very tasty food and very quick and friendly serviceRecommended dishesHalloumi Bites
Good pizzas as always but very understaffed. Didn't mind the wait for food, it was more problematic that we couldn't get our son's dessert or pay the bill for quite a long time. Our waiter was excellent but had way too much to do.
It's pizza express. I wouldn't go there any more than Prince Andrew but the Italian place next door said it was too late. Kudos to the waitress who was friendly and gave some great recommendations for places to go for a drink after.Food: 3/5
Manager was rude, initially put us on a tiny table in the corner, when I asked to move she grabbed the menus and threw them on a table with screaming kids behind us. We walked out.
very clean and tidy placr pizza was to thin,we left still feeling hungry, very expensive.
I came here on a Friday evening, pleanty of seats available. Got seated on to find the server gave us vegan menus?! How poor. He looked like the manager to. Anyway I ordered the lasagne which quite bland, not enough meat. And the garlic bread was full of tomatoes. Not the best restaurant in Liverpool one but worth to come here to use your clubcard vouchers.
