Delighted to have a Go Outdoors only 4 miles from home. As we are keen campers, it's our go to when we're in need of anything for our next adventure and it's always nice to have a browse when there anyway. Staff have always been helpful and friendly and you can get just about anything you need. If there was a coffee shop/stall within, it'd be even nicer.
Helpful staff, excellent range and good prices with the membership card. Managed to get everything we needed to kit my daughter out for her first camping trip from cutlery to sleeping bags so she can start with all the right gear.
Go Outdoors Clydebank. Went in to buy something l had in mind , but as usual l got to having a look around. So l ended up buying a few different items l wanted - didn’t know if l had taken enough cash with me & might have to use card. Sophie was brilliant checking out all the prices for me & l made it by a couple of quid. Thanks Sophie appreciated the time & help !!
Went in store to buy some work boots and try them on to ensure they fit all of which were labeled as 'Men's work boots because apparently women don't need work boots?!. I couldn't find my size on the shop floor so I looked for a staff member. A staff member was in the shoe section but already dealing with a couple so left them to it and wandered around for 10/15 mins then went back. Only to find the staff member having assisted the couple now just having a chat about life with them. Which is totally fine but I went and found another staff member who rather than help just pointed me back in the direction of the shoe section and said there should be someone over there to help. Said staff member was still totally engrossed in the conversation so I just left. Purchased my boots online as it was much less hassel. Some staff seem reluctant to actually help and would rather walk around and look busy. I wasn't even there on a busy day it was mid week!
Good place to visit if you are needing anything outdoors. Clothing is good for children men's and ladies. Specialist camouflage, and sports clothing like fishing clothes. Extensive range of tents of all sizes and accessories. Some useful stuff for caravans also. Good selection of barbeque equipment and someone electronic equipment as well such as GPS navigation system for rock climbing. The staff are very knowledgeable and know exactly what you are looking for. No need to go anywhere else for outdoor equipment. Never thought I'd find an outdoor washing machine suitable for a caravan. Not so sure about the portable flush toilet
Don't usually post reviews but when you get excellent assistance and great deals on camping equipment you've just got to. Special mention to young Fergus who was knowledgeable and extremely helpful without any pressure and no I'm not a relation and had never met him before.
This is a discount warehouse type operation. Thus, despite the size of the place, stock can be somewhat limited in terms breadth and depth e.g. limited range of sizes and colours for items of clothing, and mainly from brands at the lower end of the market. Nonetheless, they occasionally have some genuine bargains. For these alone, it is worth the annual discount card membership and popping in for a nosey every now and then.
Love this shop, vast selection of products for camping. Prices not bad , especially with member card. They also allow dogs in store which is a great bonus. Good parking right outside. You can order on line and either pick up in store in a few days or they will deliver. I have bought a lot of my camping gear here, good quality products. Worth a look round when in area.
