Do not really want to even give 1 star. We wanted to book a vehicle in for a service and had a nightmare trying to get them to answer the phone to book. Once we had booked and went to collect our vehicle the staff were very rude to our driver and insulted one of their own staff to our driver! As a company we needed a copy of the workshop job, we have rung several times to try and obtain this, the phone hasn't been answered, we have left messages but no-one has ever given us a call back. Appalling customer service. We will NEVER use them again!
Turned up early to get an issue looked at booked six weeks before. I was informed I could do this at 8am - couldn’t find anywhere to leave my car or anyone to talk to, as there only appears to be restricted street parking nearby. Called three times to confirm and got no answer. I ran out of time due to a need to get to work - had to leave. Disorganised and disappointed are the words that apply here. Basically, I drove for 45mins to get there for nothing. I won’t be returning.
Love my Fiat! Thanks to Mitch for all his help and updates about my car. So happy with my new car, in love with her! Service was amazing here would recommend!
What a nightmare, I wouldn't even give it 1 star! Any customers reading previous reviews, please listen to those that have had bad experiences. I thought it wouldn't happen to me but it did. A month ago my car had an amber warning light appear on the dashboard. Upon reading the manual, it stated that it was not an issue as I could still drive my car, only if the warning light appeared red I would have to stop driving immediately. I made the earliest appointment with Fiat Customer Services which was one month later. In the meantime I was advised to carry on driving the car as normal. Therefore, I carried on driving for essentials i.e. shopping and domestic use, driving at the maximum speed of 70mph with no problems. I cannot stress 'no problems' enough. The day of the appointment, I drove my car to Chelmsford showroom with no problems with my car. When I arrived I was told by the contact that it would be ready later that day, to which a courtesy car was provided. Later that day I received an email to say they will need to keep my car over night as it was not ready. The following day I get an email to say that more work had to be carried out due to a clean cut on the wiring loom, which they had insisted that someone had purposely done this to my car. The cost to repair this was going to be £504 VAT included, as I was told my warranty wouldn't cover this because it was not a manufacture defect. Later on that day I was informed: ''The vehicle broke down at our workshop. The vehicle will now not start, so is undrivable'' by the contact. As the wiring loom was completely cut or sliced, how was I able to drive the whole month with no breakdowns, and to drop my car off to the appointment? And then, it suddenly breaks down in their care. The emotion I felt when I explained this to my family was unbearable. I put my trust into this company and for what they have explained & shown me, they have tampered with my car whilst it was in their care. The light at the tunnel was our case manager, based in Italy, for Fiat/Jeep - Ryan, informed me that Jeep would cover the costs as Chelmsford called it a "good will gesture". I honestly could not thank him enough. His integrity and professionalism was outstanding. Once myself and my partner set in to motion all the correct procedures for complaints, it was evident that my car was working fine before it went into Chelmsford Glyn Hopkin. Once I arrived to collect my car I just could not miss it, due to how much bird mess was littered all over my car! I am not even exaggerating when I say it was everywhere. A part of me actually thought that this was done on purpose as no other cars had the bird's mess on them. I could not fathom how they would release a car to their customer in that condition. I've been a customer of Glyn Hopkins for 8 years and never had an experience like this. The company is going down hill. My only explanation is that they have been closed for the past 3 months maybe more due to the coronavirus and now they are open, they are trying to earn money by being totally dishonest within their own legislations.
Went in for a service and booked a test drive of a fiat 500e, I was dealt with by Mitch not pushy at all but very knowledgeable. Ended up buying one. On day of collection everything was as it should be and he was more than happy to spend the time showing me things on the car. Would buy from here again great service.
Couldn't be happier with the service I received from Mitch, we enquired about a car and walked away purchasing one. Mitch was very helpful with very step from picking the car I want to collecting the car. Very professional and I highly recommend anyone interested in a car to go straight to Mitch! Thank you for everything, I love my Fiat 500E, best car I ever had!
I have now had 3 Fiat 500 from Glyn Hopkins Chelmsford and I can’t fault their customer service. I have just been in to pick up car number 4 as I decided I needed something bigger so have gone for a 500X this time. From the minute I spoke to Tony to say I wanted to change my Fiat he couldn’t have been more helpful. He found me a fantastic car and talked me through all my options. He also let me know at every stage. I would 100 % recommend Tony and Glyn Hopkin Chelmsford
I was very impressed with Tony, the salesman. He kept me right up to date with the progress of my order. Since I received my Fiat 500e I have made contact several times and found Tony to be quick to respond and able to answer my queries without a problem. Most of all, the gap between order placement and delivery was a matter of a few weeks. This compares very favourably to experiences of friends and colleagues who have opted for other suppliers / models and have waited months. I love my Fiat 500e
I'd like to say thank you to all the service team at Glyn Hopkin Fiat. I had a problem with the initial work that was carried out by them but I have to say they pulled out all the stops to overcome the issues that we faced. In particular Jeff and the General Manager went out of their way to make sure my car was back on the road as quickly as possible. I'm very pleased and will definitely be returning to use their services again.
Glyn Hopkin must be the worse Fiat dealership. Whilst my car was in their care it was seriously damaged to the extent I refused to ever drive the car again. Management are useless and chose to ignore communication by email. I did get another vehicle from them but when I tried to collect it it was not ready. Many of my personal items were not transferred to the new vehicle so it was a wasted journey. They even managed to damage an expensive key ring which was on my car key. When I mentioned this to the manager he just shrugged. Would certainly not recommend this dealership.
