When buying the car they were lovely salesman, but if you need helping after they are condescending, arrogant and rude. When I took my car for a MOT 7 months after buying the car I was told the gear box was on its way out. I took it straight back and was told we can’t fix it until it’s completely broken. I have now had the car 10 months and mindful that I won’t get any help from the warranty (which is only £250 for the gear box or engine, only a fraction of what it will cost to get fixed) I call to ask what they advise. I spoke to Jeff who claims to be the owner who when I told him my gear box is braking and I am mindful of the warranty all he kept repeating was ‘I don’t know what you want us to do’ and ‘you want me to fix something that’s not broken’ even sniggering down the phone whilst saying this. He eventually told me I would have to take it to been seen by his Mechanic. I asked where his garage was to which again I got another sniggering response of ‘he’s a mechanic’. I told him that throughout this he had been rude and condescending to which I could hear him move the phone from his ear and make a grumbling noise. When I asked him if he moved the phone away from his ear and make a noise he laughed. I still have no idea where this ‘mechanic’ is based and I have lost all confidence that the person he will be sending me to will even be able to help. Long story short, great salesman and that’s all they care about, the sale!

I have purchased a few cars from Chariots in the past and have generally found them helpful. However today, I pointed out to one of the co owners that there were two prices on a car for sale. He reacted by being extremely rude and obnoxious to me! I mentioned that strictly speaking he should sell it to me for the lower price to which he retorted but I don't have to sell it to you! which is odd when he is actually a second hand car salesman. I must add that Steve was not the person who was rude.

Over this weekend I bought my 6th car from Chariots ( Third son and same wife). Second hand car honesty is often hard to find, however it comes in abundance with this company. I can't wait to get my loyalty card after buying my 10th car(Ha Ha )
