Stayed at this hotel for Valentine’s Day weekend with a package that came with the 4 course meal set menu. It’s a nice restaurant located inside the hotel. The food was nice and service was a bit slow as it got busy that evening. Has a nice bar next to the restaurant and also has a outdoor dining area. The starter was ok, but the main and the fresh oysters were tasty! Overall it was a good experience. Would recommend if you were staying at the hotel.
This dinner was a part of an overnight stay with my partner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel - Marlow. The restaurant environment in the evening was super quiet we had the last reservation and it was low-lit, perfect for a romantic date night. Our evening meal itself was fabulous - the ceviche of chalk Stream Trout starter with caviar I think or something similar was lovely, the chicken tikka my partner's meal was tasty and the medium-rare Sirloin Steak was impeccable and nicely cooked. Compliments to the chef for this last minute order!
Lovely hotel with beautiful view of the lake. We stayed there for one night stay on New Year’s Day. Very welcoming staff and the rooms were spacious. We dined in the Glaze restaurant and I must say that the food was absolutely delicious, service was second to none. before leaving the hotel we decided to go for afternoon tea and it was one of the best experiences we have had the view from the conservatory is breathtaking. We will definitely visit again.
First time stay & wont be the last. Room 142. Check in was quick & courteous. Room was a club room. Spotlessly clean, large bed-very comfortable. Extras in fridge was water, a KitKat, juice & coke. My only gripe is the black plastic mugs in the room. White China please. Lots of seating around to relax in the conservatory & bar areas. Floors sparkled! What a find-nothing to look at outside but once inside- A wonderful hotel overlooking the Thames. Stayed on a Virgin experience day with prosecco , truffles, spa , breakfast & 3 course meal included. Young lady serving us was delightful-checked we were happy with everything. Have stayed at numerous hotels on the Thames as we travel extensively & this is by far our new favourite. Evening meal was great-limited choice but very nice-service great. Breakfast choice was extensive & the scrambled eggs were really good. The servers at breakfast check everything is ok & are friendly without it being forced. Great service. All staff are courteous & polite. Duty manager at breakfast was very welcoming. After breakfast we checked out & enjoyed coffee looking out at the Thames. Our waitress was Bridget who was very friendly & polite. Thank you for a lovely stay!
This hotel and restaurant were fantastic from the moment we were warmly and efficiently welcomed at the front desk to the service and amazing quality of the food received in the restaurant. The only bad bit was the poor service received in the bar , 25 minutes for a drink and it wasn't even that busy. We had an executive room using Secret Escapes and had a lovely stay. I’ve been staying for a week for work and eaten here every evening. the food and service is lovely - the barman Jonathon in particular was friendly, helpful and accommodating to such a big group of us I think the kitchen team were not used to serving a big group for bar food but they handled it well. I also booked a massage in the spa and can say this was excellent, very relaxing, removing all the tension from my shoulders after a long day of work I would recomend booking a treatment in advance as they do fill up fast!
We enjoyed our dinners at the restaurant - nice quiet atmosphere, fast and friendly service and delicious food. One improvement for waiting staff would be to advise diners ordering partridge that it may have metal pellets in the meat from where the birds were shot. Our waiter didn't warn us and I had an unpleasant surprise when I bit on a metal pellet. We alerted the waiter but there was no apology and I was told that it was 'normal'. Not so sure that it was normal not to pre-warn, especially if I got a broken tooth! Luckily I didn't.
Nice wide open restaurant, bar, and observatory combination with a view of a garden and lake. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. We ate or drank here several times during our stay. Breakfast is 4/5 and lunch 3.5/5.
Lovely restaurant, modern but not in your face. Staff professional and smiles . Very helpful. Food sensible portion size, tasty, well presented. Good experience.
The waiter Giovanni is a credit to the hotel, so kind and attentive even though they were very busy the night we were dining! He did everything all by himself and was running around making sure everyone was happy and comfortable! A lovely man, also the food was delicious! Loved it!
