We absolutely loved our visit to The Marlow Donkey! From the moment we stepped inside, it felt just like home. The interior is beautifully designed, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes it hard to leave.nnThe service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome from start to finish. To top it off, it’s dog-friendly, which made it even better!nnEven though we were only in Marlow for the weekend, we’ll definitely come back to this pub next time we visit. The Marlow Donkey is a gem and easily deserves a 5-star rating!nnOh, and one more thing… parking has a EV CHARGING POINTS
Latest - went for Sunday lunch on Remembrance Sunday - booked a booth - they also allow well behaved dogs. Today especially, they opened at 9 so people could have bacon sandwiches , etc and refreshments whilst waiting for the parade to start from the British Legion which is opposite. Friendly, helpful staff who responded to my emails to make sure I was booked and sorted. The Donkey is bright and airy with various seating options, including outside seating. Toilets include a disabled key needed and the main food menu is extensive and tasty
Shocking, went in the late summer for a lunch meal and went away extremely disappointed and we will never return again. The price for what was a very small part baked then an overcooked dried roll was daylight robbery. It cost me £12 for the plate in the photo and 1 pint of beer. Spoke to various staff members who didn't really know what was going on and said that was the price. If you do go be warned, this is the worst pub grub and value for money in Marlow.
A Delightful Evening at the Marlow DonkeynnOur first visit to the Marlow Donkey was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and provided highly professional service.nnThe menu offered a great range of options, catering to diverse tastes. We were particularly impressed with the quality of the food – expertly prepared and presented, with fresh ingredients. The pricing was also very reasonable, making it a great value for money.nnThe selection of beers and spirits was excellent, offering something for everyone. Whether you're a discerning beer connoisseur or prefer wine, the Marlow Donkey has you covered.nnOverall, we had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend the Marlow Donkey to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and delicious dining experience. It's definitely worth a visit!
Stopped off here on a day out in Marlow. Initially for a pint of Rebellion Overthrow beer £4.70, then noticed the good value lunch deal on offer.nn£8.99 for food and a pint or other selected alcoholic drink.nnOrdered a pint of GK Level Head IPA and a Steak and Cheese Ciabatta, plus chips.nnTotal a very reasonable £8.99.nnSteak was requested medium and came as asked.nnAlthough Greene King is a generally a little more expensive than the likes of Wetherspoons, their food quality is usually very good. With their food deals making the price even more attractive!nnService was quick and friendly, with food arriving in a reasonable time.nnNo complaints whatsoever with food.nnRecommend a visit if you are in the Marlow area. Very handy if coming in by Train!!
