Very well located hostel in a beautiful big building in the West End. We had a family room which was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. We could have done with more than one chair and plug socket, and the WiFi was slow. The social areas were great though. Really lovely hostel.Rooms: 5/5
Loved this hostel, quiet location, beautiful building and nice, comfy beds. The lounge was really great; there were multiple places outside your room to spend some quiet time in the hostel. Staff was very friendly. Free coffee with actual milk and sugar was very appreciated. I liked the system of selecting your own bed. Our room was spacious, maybe a bit hot. If you're looking for a party hostel, this is not it, which is why I liked it so much :
We stayed in one of the private rooms for a night and had a great experience. The building is gorgeous and kept really tidy and clean, the staff were great and the view from the room was beautiful. There are a couple of nice communal areas, with access to books, games and table tennisRooms: 5/5
We booked a private room here and it delivered everything you’d expect from a hotel but at a much better price. Room is spacious but bathrooms are basic. There’s also cooking facilities, board games and a table tennis table. Lovely location in the posh part of town but a bit of a walk to the city centre.Rooms: 5/5
It's quite a walk to get to anything nearby, the closest metro station is a solid 10 minutes walk away. Not much nearby in terms of food or shops. Hostel is in an old building, its nice but has some issues. Staff recommended to not drink the water in the rooms, so you gotta hike 3 floors down to basement and then back up for water. No elevator obviously. Also not enough power plugs in the room I was in, only one power bar on the opposite side of the room. Can't charge your laptop or phone next to your bed, which is really a pain. Overall a pretty quiet hostel, not much going on and not much social engagement among the guests. Fine if you're traveling with friends but if traveling alone you'd be better off at a hostel with a decent bar to meet some folks to hang out with. Rooms: Older rooms, bunks are comfortable but don't have curtains, power outlets or any of the conveniences that newer hostels have. Would recommend they add a few extension cords so you can charge your phone next to your bed instead of having to leave it on the other side of the room. Walkability: Hostel is 10 minute walk from nearest bus stops or metro. No convenient to get around.
Stayed in the dormitory for 2 nights. The location was a bit far from city center but still quite nice if you would like nice views of the garden and some quietness away from the busy city. Subway and bus station are 10 minutes walk away and the location is on hilly area so bringing your luggage might be a problem for you. As for the dorm room, i find it to be a bit on the lacking side. It was on the third floor and no lift. Lifting your luggage to the top floor was exhausting so i would not recommend the dorm to old people. The bed was small, it felt like a child's bed and I am only 153cm. Climbing it can be a hassle as the stairs to the top bunk is a bit narrow. There is only 1 plug point on the floor which you need to share with other people. No power outlets either on the lounge or the dining area. On the bright side, the staffs were very pleasant to deal with. They were very helpful and even provided lots of information on the onboarding paper, taxis number in the lobby and also listed upcoming activities in town on the common area. The kitchen was complete with running hot boiling water and stovetop kitchen. There is also a lot of beautifully decorated common rooms like game and tv room where there are books, tv, piano and guitar for your enjoyment. You can leave your luggage for free on the day of your departure as well.
after a long day it is not the best thing to climb at least 60 stairs just to get to the entrance of the hostel, but then to go sleep in a really quiet room is relaxing. easy to find, 24/7 store is in 10 minutes walk available.Rooms: 5/5
This hostel was actually quite nice, it was in a quieter area which led to me feeling a bit more rested after having a full on week prior. If you are after a social hostel, this isnt necessarily the place for you, it has the spaces for it but people were generally there to rest before continuing their trip. Thats the impression I had at least. There were other people complaining about the distance from the shops, it wasn’t far at all, literally just down the road. I found everything was quite accessible and the park next to the hostel quite nice to explore.
Excellent hostel - looking more like a mansion really! Lovely location by a beautiful park, with easy access to the centre. Friendly and helpful staff - thanks Guys. I'll definitely be back! Rooms: Comfy and nice but sockets by each bed would be a welcome addition.
Amazing hostel in a great neighborhood. An unexpected old, big, unique building! The only downside was that we could hear the room next door, but everything else, especially the beds were super comfortable!Rooms: 4/5
