Glasgow Central Station is a major hub, well-connected and easy to navigate. The architecture is stunning, with the grand entrance and high ceilings adding to its charm. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and food options to grab a bite while waiting. The station is generally clean, though it can get crowded during peak hours. Restrooms require a small fee, which can be a bit annoying. Overall, it’s a good station with a lot of history and convenient services
Beautiful train station. Worth visiting for sure if in the area.
As the largest train station of Scotland, I understand there could be some short comings. But was truly amazed today while trying to entre the Multi faith room. The usual place was being refurbished. Station staff went out of their ways to help. Moreover, the station manager himself identified me in the crowd, introduced himself and guided me to the new multi faith room currently located in the passenger lounge. Keep up the good work guys!
This was a fantastic station to both arrive and depart at, with a massive and vintage building! Signs help navigate all around, departure times are heavily listed and the underground subway is in the station as a bonus. The platforms are appropriately sized, many are available and cleanliness had been maintained!
Unlike other stations, tracks are elevated, so you walk UP from the street level. Gated access to each platform - tickets scanned for entry. While mainly for southern travel from Glasgow, used for intracity trips to west Glasgow
