Never had a bad meal here, always delicious.nService is great and the place itself is beautiful.
For a lunch catch up we chose the Beaconsfield restaurant and it was superb. The food is well presented, delicious and with so much choice. Staff were attentive, cheerful and welcoming. The restaurant decor is authentic and fresh. Well worth the good value for money. Definitely going again.
Had a birthday lunch with 2 friends and my daughter. We had a lovely table, and the food and service was excellent. Especially from Valentina, the manager.She was very friendly and offered to take a group photo of us. She bought out a special birthday desert with a candle on it, and sang Happy Birthday, everyone joined in. She made my birthday very special and took the time to talk to us. I can’t praise her enough for her attention and professionalism. I definitely recommend The Giggling Squid, it’s my second visit, and I’ll be going back again.
Unfortunately a really poor evening waiting for food, as was almost everyone other than those who ordered takeaway as that was seemingly prioritised. They need to get a better balance as disappointing to constantly see takeaways going out whilst almost all tables were waiting for starters or mains. Some people left prior to receiving their food as the wait was so long without warning/heads up. We waited 30mins for starter and a further hour after that for the main a couple trying to celebrate our anniversary.nI put forward a recommendation that this should be edited to takeaway instead of a restaurant.nFood tasted great however but this left a sour taste.nChef and service staff did what they could but the business model needs revising and cannot keep sending takeaways when have customers in the restaurant. On top of this they did not even have the upstairs open either.
First visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed ! The food was delicious we chose prawn crackers to nibble on to start, and it had to be said they are nothing like ones you get in the Chinese restaurants and they come with a delicious chill sauce.could I just suggest that 2 little pots of the sauce be provided. We asked for another and this was provided immediately. Our main meal was the marinated sirloin steak with crispy bits and a delicious sauce and stir fry veggies The staff were very attentive and work hard to make sure every thing is just right. The menus are amazing, this was a gift from our kids. We went on a Saturday evening, it is very popular and busy but the ambiance is great. We will be back!
