'Simply the perfect place to unwind'
Overlooking a cascading stream, this 17th century watermill conversion nestles in a sheltered hollow at the foot of the magnificent Howgill Fells. Situated in an area noted for its spectacular scenery, this detached stone cottage lies close to the owners’ home and provides very comfortable, warm and well cared for accommodation. A variety of birdlife inhabit the grounds and surrounding fells. Paved pathways lead alongside the tumbling waters to private grassed arbours and patios, where a quiet evening drink or barbecue may be enjoyed. The nearby fells offer hill walkers superb scenic treks, whilst less demanding walks may be enjoyed along the smaller peaks which surround the old town of Sedbergh just three miles away. Kendal (Lakeland’s capital) lies approximately 8 miles away, with beautiful Dentdale and the whole of the Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep. The owners are very willing to help you to plan walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, sightseeing or any other activity. Fresh home-made bread and free-range eggs are available by arrangement. Lots of toys and play equipment for children as well a cot, highchair, changing mat, stair and fire guards, etc. Well-behaved pets most welcome. A warm welcome awaits all visitors.
