Excellent for Food. A little bit more expensive than your average pub meal would be, but you definitely get what you pay for. Big portions. Great taste. Fantastic customer service. We had the Beef Roast on a Sunday afternoon.

Very late booking,very helpful and friendly, excellent breakfast. Can not comment on food but beer was nice, good choice on offer. Cottage was clean and tidy, tip top

Nice atmosphere but food very poor for the price. The Lamb Henry was simply a chewy lamb shank - no hint of mint etc. For almost £20 I had expected better. The duck was nouvelle cuisine price and size, but very disappointing on taste. Also the inability to take credit cards is supposedly because of work external to the pub, but some locals told us this was nonsense, and it is strange how nearby business aren't affected and even the pub's own ATM can communicate with banks. This issue has been on-going for many months and I wonder why the pub puts up with this lack of service. Disappointing.
