We stayed at Pippin Cottage over the Easter weekend. As per other reviews we found the parking to be very tricky and ended up using the town car park with the parking permit. Pippin Cottage is a very well equipped cottage in a lovely town, with some great places to eat. It is very small for a family of 4, and we found it to be quite cold in the upstairs living area. The information sent prior to our trip by the owners was very useful and appreciated. On arrival the entrance could have done with a good vacuum, and the kitchen work tops needed a wipe down.

This cottage is the most delightful retreat. I can thoroughly recommend a visit. Its immaculate, tastefully decorated, with amazing surroundings. Its location is perfect in a little village, with fantastic places to eat and drink. Lots of amazing walks with breath taking scenery, most definitely a five star accommodation!

What a gem of a cottage in a lovely quiet location but yet within the centre of Sedbergh, cannot recommend this cottage enough. The cleanest property we have stayed in and seriously well equipped. It has every gadget you would ever need within to make your holiday easy and stress free. Heating quick and efficient and the wood burning stove amazing. Perfect for couples, families and groups of friends. Wonderfully warm, welcoming and thoughtful touches with a beautiful peaceful garden to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine, would highly recommend.

Walking distance to all amenities and many beautiful walks from the door within Sedbergh and the Howgills. Fantastic places to eat. Pippin Cottage is lovely and comfortable, especially in the winter with the log burner, and very well equipped (+ Wifi). Stunning views from the garden. Dog friendly. A great base to visit the Lakes and Dales.

The heating is by those economy 7 heaters which take a night to heat up. So it was freezing when we arrived, would have been nice if the owners had turned it on the night before. Also smells a bit damp. It's small but that's not really a problem. Believe the owners when they tell you parking is tricky. It definitely is, we parked in the local car park as you get a permit with the property.
