Went in for sausage chips and curry. Partner had fish chips and mushy peas. Not one of us can fault the meal. Chips are cooked to perfection same as the sausage and fish, very friendly and approachable attitude from the staff 5*

A wonderful takeaway/restaurant that serves quality food and drink to its customers for a good price! The service was fast today, and the welcome warm, my food was ready within a minute and i was on my jolly way! I highly recommend taking a pit stop in this traditional fish and chip shop!

Amazing fish and chips and the tartar sauce was delicious. Served in an attractive box by really friendly staff, all cooked to order and to perfection. Really impressed by this place.

Very poor. Chips cold. Service not good. No.salt and vinegar or tartare sauuce. Very disappointed. All other George shops have been brill.

A fine chippy. Both the fish and the chips are cooked to perfection. My only gripe is that the portion sizes can be a bit variable. I generally come here for a small fish, small chips combo - nothing too heavy for lunch - and there's this one guy that's proper stingy with the chips. I know I said small but come on. This is a proper fish bar too by the way, I mean they do sausages and stuff like that but no kebabs or pizzas. I'm not even sure they do saveloys. If you're after a saveloy probably ring to check before making the trip.
