We went to the George & Dragon on Saturday evening. It was fairly quiet as it was only 5.30. The staff were very courteous and immediately showed us to a table in the dining room. The meal was great, particularly the duck breast which was named "the best duck breast I have had in a restaurant in years" by my partner, so we will definitely be going back (as long as it remains on the menu that is!) All together a lovely evening.

The service was friendly, the facilities clean, the ambience pleasant and the choice of beer good. Food was not bad but not much better than average pub fayre. The place was recommended to me for food so maybe I have high expectations but the chips could've done with being crispier, the pie crust needed more seasoning and the honey mustard 'chipolatas' I had to start were more like 'bits of sausage wrapped in bacon'. It was odd. I'd eat here again but I certainly wouldn't rush back.

Mothers day lunch with the family. Very busy time to go and restaurant tables spilling into bar area. Good variety of meals including vegetarian options for my sister. Food was well presented and service excellent considering it was so busy. Friendly atmosphere. No loud music to prevent socialising.

Great place, food is great staff very attentive. The only negative thing and this isn't the fault of the establishment is the difficulty in getting a taxi from here or anywhere in Holmes Chapel.

Great attentive service in the restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. Food was lovely. The menu maybe a little light on choice. Overall very good experience.
