The home delivery was fast but the food ordered was not fresh at all. The chapatis were very thick and butter chicken was horrible and the chicken didn’t taste fresh or juicy. Horrible food won’t recommend to anyone.Food: 1/5
This resturant is truly a gem on the Isle of Dogs. The food was freshly cooked with lots of flavour and well presented. We ordered 4 currys and a biriyani and i would like to say every single curry was delicious. The decor is very traditional and unique. The service was great and price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!
It's first time trying the restaurant in the Docklands. It very nice food chickens jalferzi was fantastic flavours. King prawn korai really good. Thank guys. I will recommend the restaurant.
Overall I had a good experience. This is a truly cozy place with quite a romantic atmosphere. I really liked the decoration, they clearly spent a lot of time and money to make it look appealing and warm. The music also complimented the experience. The menu and the food were a bit disappointing though. When I first looked at the menu I got a bit scared. It is one of the most extensive and longest menus I've ever seen. If you don't know much about restaurants, that's not a good thing. At all. It looks impressive at first sight and you feel like you have a lot of choice, but if you think about it, the reality is that they cannot possibly make that many dishes fresh in a timely manner. Which probably means a lot of frozen ingredients, separately prepared food items heated up together for a speedy service. Unfortunately as I suspected, this is precisely what happened. It wasn't even a few minutes after we made our order and the food was already out and it definitely tasted like the meat and the sauce were prepared completely separately lacking the integration of flavours. It was rather disappointing. I am leaving a positive review however because staff were really nice and the place itself was amazing. They do need to revisit their menu and food preparation techniques though.
Fantastic Indian food at this lovely little place, can't recommend it enough!!Food: 5/5
Love the food, can’t get enough of it. Big problem is the attitude of the waiter who serves here. You wouldn’t even think the owner of the place is so stuck-up. The prices for eat in cost a LOT more than take away.
Could be so much better. Notices for allergies gaffa taped to the wall, just put it in a frame. Cleaning materials sitting on the bain Marie right in the middle of the restaurant. Large computer screen set up on a table in the corner but facing the customers, just a bit distracting with YouTube or something playing for all to see. Staff seem devoid of personality until it's time to pay and didn't notice until after we had rounded up the bill that service charge at 12.5% was included. Probably should have looked as I'm not sure I would have left it on the bill..
I came in to dine, but the staff asked me to opt for takeaway as they were closing, despite the map indicating they were open. Food was okay.Food: 3/5
Overall good experience, ignoring the fact that my mates won’t stop taking the p… out of me for booking our Christmas dinner at the “gaylord”Food: 4/5
Great music in a most serene ambience that makes you feel Orientally zoned. The interior has paintings from an India you identify in the mind. Somewhere there again is the picture of Enrique commending the place - a glasses enlargement of his interview. When I say Enrique, I mean the Enrique Iglesias! It was fun to be there in the company of my South Sudanese friend. The serving was efficient, timely and most professional. The food was lovely too. So, if you want something good to eat and a fine place to treat...Come here already!!
