Food was of good standard and service was polite and efficient. Prices as expected with good portion sizes. Large plate meals were ordered and enjoyed by all although the fish would have been better with peas not beans
The best overall place to go if you have kids in the area, the facilities are great to keep the hole family entertained for hours. It has a fantastic outside park and seating area, also a wacky ware house indoors. The restaurant is well spread out with ample amount of seating for large numbers of people. The staff are amazing and appreciate your custom even with a gang of kids, unlike some places that make you feel uncomfortable with noisy hyped up kids. For a family orientated restaurant the food is excellent, and great value for money. The menu is diverse for all fussy kids needs, but also good enough quality for the adults to enjoy. With it being on the A46 it’s a great location for families in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, there is ample parking and plenty of family parking bays.
Went there today with my husband for an early lunch. Servings were generous and the staff were fabulous and attentive. Will definitely visit again
Awesome food at a very good price . Will definitely be coming back . Staff are very warm and make you feel very welcome. Excellent experience
The pictures say it all. Wouldn't recommend the food . The black things are roast potatoes the pink thing is the undercooked chicken . Service was good though. Such a shame .
The place was clean, cheery and staff very attentive and helpful. Order came very quickly but sadly my chips were cool but the rest was hot. The young lady sorted it out. Ty very much. Omg though the Mount of food on our plates was outstanding and was well worth the money. Food was great but sadly my little tum could only eat so much felt terrible for leaving food. Anyway can't fault the staff or the quality of food. I would recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt..... Go on give it a whirl..
Staff here are always helpful and welcoming. Visited this afternoon 1,9,22 any questions we had was answered with a smile and really friendly. Food is always a great standard and we visit quite a few times throughout the year, despite it being an hour round trip.. worth the drive. Definitely visit if in the area for a great meal and good value.
Good food and good value. You know what you're getting and always leave stuffed! We go in the Wacky Warehouse with the kids. Only negatives, that there were several things on the menu that were out of stock, and the young lad on the till didn't put my children's meals through properly... but overall good, and we keep going back as there's nowhere else where you can get decent food for those prices.
Paid a visit to Lincoln over the weekend and this was the closest pub/eatery to our accommodation. Five of us arrived around 7:50pm on Saturday to what was probably the coldest welcome ever. "The manager" possibly, told us that we needed to order in the next 10 minutes or we wouldn't be eating at all. She couldn't have been more hostile. I believe the young'uns call it a resting-birch face — or something like that. Hospitality retaining course required!!! The five of us subsequently had to rush and order something from a menu we'd never seen or read before clock counting down. The food wasn't particular tasty or good value — but hey — we were eating! Half-nine, they rang the bell for last orders, announcing they would be shutting at ten despite it saying they shut at eleven, and you can book a table up to 11:45 on the website. I can't believe locals put up with the dire reception and food, which probably explains why it was almost empty. I don't think we'll be visiting the Game Keeper again, or any of the Hungry Horse eateries, anytime soon. Truly abysmal.
Pub chain grub, but unlike at the the farmhouse in Scunthorpe, which is the same chain, this place had an atmosphere. Ordered 2 steaks and unlike at the Farmhouse, these were really nice and didn't require a chainsaw. Paid more at other pubs for steak meals and not enjoyed as much as this. Thanks
