Absolutely brilliant meal from the bar menu, last night. It was good that we booked in for Sunday lunch before we left. Best Sunday roast we've had in years. Marco Pierre White reckons perfection is lots of little things done well and that's exactly what we got Every single aspect of it was cooked to perfection. Can't recommend highly enough. It's what this side of North Hykeham has been crying out for. Great stuff. We'll be back.
Have been to visit the pub today for the first time, the lady at the bar was brilliant with my little boy . Swapped his drink when he didn’t like the one we ordered, brought him colouring pens etc and a little chocolate - which she asked if he could have - having had allergies in the family it’s a breath of fresh air people checking it’s allowed. Service 10/10 let people have what they wanted on the tv, food fantastic! Will be visiting again
Used to be my local and I loved the place. However, a visit last year showed that the new owner, some little girl, has no idea about customer service. Anyways, can anyone confirm if the place has new owners yet? Oh right, she claimed to be owner then, she did mention her partner while kicking off at customers. After looking at other reviews it appears the actual owner Dan is doing a great job with this pub and most the negative reviews are at his partner who is claiming to be the owner and simply abusing power. Can Dan see the feedback? Can you let him know please?
Being a local for me I am so happy the new owner has turned this pub around! Food and drinks are fab prices are good and the staff all friendly!
Lovely little pub , despite being local I and never had the pleasure of going.i went in with a friend and we were served by a lovely bar maid 10/10 lovely lady thank you for a lovely visit
All I can say is wow what a turnaround Drink great food is fantastic and staff are great really a good atmosphere all around Keep it up 5 stars all
My wife and I decided to call into the Harrows for a drink after reading about the recent refurbishment. We had the misfortune to be served by possibly the rudest barmaid I have ever met. I asked for a taste of the real ale, she uttered not one word, she just slammed it down on the bar. We ordered our drinks, again no interaction from the barmaid. We decided to have a second drink, and after waiting for around five minutes to be served, she managed to drag herself away from the other bar, where there were only a couple of customers. I and another guy were waiting for a refill. I ordered at the left hand side of the bar, and she plonked them down at the right hand side of the bar. I asked where our drinks were , and she said over there! No attempt to bring them to us. I doubt we will return! It’s a shame as it’s a nice pub. I really feel that the bar maid in question needs to address her customer service skills.
I have just seen a review from Colin. I was present whilst this interaction occurred and tapping your coins on the bar, immediately after approaching it, for attention is just as bad as clicking your fingers to a waiter, and certainly not the way to attract a pleasant experience as a customer. He didn’t have to wait 5 minutes, staff are entitled to eat lunch. Be patient. We experienced great service from the bar staff, thank you :
Great local pub, we are new to the area and felt very welcome. Had a vast variety of drinks and the hostess was friendly too
