Great service. Excellent food. Visited on a weekday lunchtime. Quiet so we were looked after. Huge car park so I imagine it could be busy at times. Well worth a visit. Great looking Xmas menu.
Impulsive unplanned Thursday tea and what a treat !!! The food was gorgeous! Staff were all welcoming and friendly but special mention to Lynn who was so very attentive and charming. Would we go again ? Too bloomin right!
Building was nice, as nice atmosphere inside. Overall it was OK,, pie was nice, gravy was like jelly, veg was pint warm. The lady serving us was good at her job. It is not somewhere I would rush back to.
Have been many times. Usualy have 3 courses. Starters were lovely. Mains i was torn between 3 but stayed safe. Other main was mixed grill with peppercorn sauce. When we entered it was dead. More people did arrive. However mains came mine lovely. Mixed grill well the main part was missing the steak and sauce egg was overcooked. Chef brought food to table next to us did say excuse me twice but dint take notice but the couple clearly head as looked. I did walk to look for member of staff but as only guy on front of house was dealing with a big table had to wait chef did come in end and apologised he missed the steak from mixed grill however me waiting around and walking around looking for some one chips did cool quiet quickly. Steak wasnt medium was nearly well done and rather chewy would of also been nice to of had a steak knife never had issue before. Yes we got an apology but if did put us off staying for deserts on this ocassion just bit poor considering was so quiet.
Amazing meal, super speedy service, and staff, couldn't do any more to make it a lovely visit
Booking in to dine, very easy over the phone. Lunch - every option sounded great... then, when we were served everything looked and turned out to be delicious. Staff were great as usual, but a special sparkle on Wednesday from Evelyn who was a great hit with my kids - well done!!
Me and my father came here today and it was one of the best restaurants/pubs I've ever been in. My father had the mixed grill, which he finished joyfully. And I had their cheeseburger, which was amazing. The service was amazing, the food came in a reasonable time frame and we were served and cared for by a lovely lady called Emma. Go here if you're in the area!
Haven't been to this pub for a few years. On this occasion I was very pleasantly surprised with the tasty menu and prices. I had the seafood platter which was lovely. Only critique was the new potatoes needed a little longer cooking , but apart from that it was lovely. Service and staff were great and I notice that they have Emma serving who's worked in the windmill. All I can say is that it is the windmills loss and very much homesteads gain, lovely lady and very polite and cheerful making sure everything was ok. Thanks Emma!
We had a lovely meal this afternoon, which was good value, a huge portion and extremely nice glazed carrots. The staff were very polite and Gandey was extremely helpful in ensuring our visit was pleasant and worry free. The building is beautiful and makes you feel very welcome and relaxed.
The past couple of visits here have been very pleasant, food is exceptionally well prepared and put together. And delicious. Staff are well mannered and attentive. My risotto was reheated and a little overdone but it was still palatable. The Sticky Toffee pudding a personal favourite is always very good here, as is the camembert sharing board, especially if you don't share it. Cutlery was spotless. A range of chairs mean't swaps found one to suit my frame. Overall, a wonderful evening.
