We had the most incredible evening here and cannot wait to go back. Every dish was delicious and mouth watering and our chef was extremely entertaining and made the experience 50times better. We had the Chef Special Banquet and the Royale Banquet

Undeniably the finest Japanese cuisine you can enjoy in Newcastle-Upon Tyne with Hanahana coming in at a close second place. I wanted to eat here several times, trying different variations of their lunch and dinner sets, before offering a review as I was pleasantly surprised at how good both the food and the experience as a whole was after a single whimsical lunch there. I’m pleased to inform that Fujiyama simply does not miss. You’re going to see the freshest ingredients brought out in all their naked glory to be meticulously cooked by professional, trained chefs. You’re going to see eggs juggled, plumes of flames aloft and art made with rice whilst you eagerly await that sizzling cut of salmon to grace your plate. One might think that a buffet of delicious courses cooked by entertaining veteran chefs would be enough to take a hefty bite out of anyone’s wallet - but you would be wrong. I genuinely don’t know why they aren’t charging at least 1.5 times the price as the food and service is worth at least double in my humble opinion. Before I sign off, two last things to mention. 1. This would be a fantastic place to take someone on a first date. 2. Their salmon is godly. Try it.

Had a lovely meal here after work. We were able to walk in without a reservation but did have to wait 40 minutes for one of the chef's to be available - I'd suggest booking ahead to avoid missing out. The experience was great, the chef made it very fun and enjoyable and the food was delicious. Some of it was a little overcooked but the flavours used were great. They have a lot of different options for the food and ask about allergies before hand. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would go again, probably booking ahead of time with a big enough group to fill a table 6-8 people. Ideal for a birthday or other celebration!
My friend and I went for lunch today. The staff are lovely , very friendly , welcoming and polite. The food was amazing. The chef was friendly and entertaining. Show off was juggling 4 eggs and caught one in his hat. Excellent, WILL BE BACK !!!!
The meal was amazing, utterly sublime. Service was great, down to earth and lovely. Our chef was really engaging and funny.... A master of his craft! Highly recommended! Shiny.Food: 5/5
Loved the Teppanyaki here, we got the seafood banquet. The lobster was cooked with amazing flavours and was really juicy. There wasn’t a great selection of drinks though. I would also not bother getting anything other than the Teppanyaki banquet, I got a bowl of udon for £10 which was not good value when theres better banquet options available! Chef and service from waiters was super, really friendly. We got a lovely birthday show on the grill and a sing song, very nice, would definitely come back here!
Food was amazing and staff were helpful, friendly and entertaining. Only down side to the evening was caused by another customer pushing past our table rather than walking round. Definitely worth a visitFood: 5/5
Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t fault anything. You get fantastic food made by incredibly skilled chefs, who you can tell love doing their job by interacting happily with their customers and put on a bit of a show. Can’t wait to go again!
