Lovely place with the quirky feeling. Some unusual touches makes guest feeling very comfortable. We received very good service. Breakfast was very nice. Rooms are spacious. It is located very convenient in the center of the town so short walking distance whenever you want to go. Worth a stay. Had a good time.Rooms: 5/5
Great location with off street parking right in Kinsale town. Walking distance to all the pubs, shops, waterfront, restaurants etc. Hosts nice and helpful. Our room was HUGE, with ALL the amenities, including big tubs. Breakfast was great, big selection, including local seafood. Met the cook in town, had a lovely chat, just like locals!Rooms: 5/5
Maureen and staff were everything you want when you stay in Ireland. Kind, warm, funny and engaging. Room was fine and I think we were upgraded at no additional cost to a giant room with two comfortable beds. Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. If you are looking for authentic irish hospitality when visiting Kinsale, do yourself a favor and book the Friars Lodge.
All the staff but especially Maureen the owner and Mary who served us breakfast who both went out of their way to ensure our stay was a really positive one. The room was spacious with everything we needed including tea/coffee making facilities as well as an ironing board. Covid protocol was followed to the full so we felt very safe. I can't thank them enough for a very pleasant stay.
Reasonably priced, clean and Low-key. Walking distance to anything you want. Almost a pub and every corner. Good sites good hikes and good fun. I would recommend it
Maureen and Mary were so hospitable and made us right at home. Big rooms very comfortable and clean. Great location near all pubs and restaurants. Off street parking available.Breakfast was superb especially as they catered to my Gluten free diet. Will definitely come here again .Rooms: 5/5
The place is clean and has everything you need! The staff are so accommodating and very nice. The room is very spacious and are equipped with things you need when travelling like toiletries, towels hair dryer and iron too
Had a perfect week staying in Friars Lodge. Staff are excellent, the rooms are big and clean. A great breakfast every morning and secure free parking. I highly recommend Friars Lodge and its in the centre of town and has loads of charm.
We chose this place as is dog friendly and we were not disappointed. The room we got was large and had a bath, hot bath after long day spent in West Cork was such a treat! Breakfast with multiple options, even catch of the day
