I stayed in the hotel / motel facilities for a night. It is a quiet place, the beds are good and the room has everything you need. It is quite inexpensive, but everything is a bit worn. 
The breakfast is served pre-packed but is really nothing much. The view is really nice, looking out over the canal boats.

Good easy access mooring with great facilities, but no chandlery. Lovely raised bar/cafe with views across moorings and lake. Close to station and small village with chemist and Post Office/grocery.

We stayed in the VIP lodges for a long weekend with friends.  The lodges are very spacious and will happily accommodate four of you per lodge.  Hot tub was great and all throughout the lodge was clean and tidy.  Beds are a bit hard, and pillows a bit lumpy but ok for a short stay. It's a very quiet place, not much to do on the park, but would happily stay here again for a de-stressing relaxing weekend.  Wi-Fi is available but signal is very poor, but didn't bother us too much as it's nice to get away from all of that for a change.

I visit for the dance school with my daughters so I can't comment on the rooms. The location is great though.
