As a child, I required a fair amount of dental work. I had too many teeth, strange as it sounds, so a number of extractions were required, including all four back teeth.
I had always been quietly proud of the fact that I wasn't scared of the dentist as a child, while so many I knew were. Then came the extractions. For some reason, the anaesthetic jabs never had the required effect, but despite my tearful protestations, the dentist never stopped. 
Seven horrifyingly traumatic experiences later, and I was done with dentists. Forever.
Of course, after nearly ten years without a dental checkup or any kind of work done, my teeth were in a sorry state. I needed at least six fillings, maybe even some more extractions. I ignored the problem until the pain wouldn't let me.
It was my mother who found the Fresh Smile Clinic, with a quick google search to the effect of 'nervous dental patient Huddersfield' or something similar.
Given past experiences, I was terrified at the prospect, but finally managed to work up the courage to take the plunge.
I honestly cannot recommend this practise highly enough. Upon my first visit, I broke down in the chair as the flood of old memories came rushing back. Dr. Kate was immensely understanding and compassionate, and told me that if I wasn't ready, that's fine, we could do it another day.
This understanding and patience was exactly what I needed. I was able to build up my confidence over the course of subsequent visits, to the point where I was completely comfortable walking into that room. Nine fillings later, it's a walk in the park!
As I said before, I really cannot recommend Fresh Smile Clinic highly enough. If you are nervous, or hounded by traumatic experiences past, this is definitely the place for you.

What can I say about Fresh smile in Brighouse..ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. The whole teams professionalism is second to none,after years of being petrified of the dentist i no longer am. I have never felt pain in all the treatment that i had..The lovely Kiran & Jo are more like friends now & have always been warm & friendly,good fun too. As soon as you walk through the door you are made to feel we come. All the staff are FANTASTIC Since my treatment I have recommended Fresh smile to my brother,niece & a friend  who are all delighted with the treatment they have had...we all are smiling all the time...i highly recommend Fresh smile..they are THE BEST.

Iv been going to fresh smile clinic for several years now and I'm very happy to say my visits have always been pleasant. I'm a nervous patient and Kate the dentist makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Iv never had any problems getting an appointment, the reception staff Demi and Lynsey get you in straight away and are professional and have a friendly manner. The practice is lovely and clean and as soon as you step through the door you feel welcomed by all the staff. I would highly recommend this practice.

I have been coming to fresh smile clinic for many years now. The practice itself is in a great location and easily accessible. The staff have always been friendly and great you with a smile. The dental staff are always understanding of your needs and provide their treatment on your terms. I have very sensitive teeth and they are very understanding and willing to give me a break until I’m ready to continue with treatment. If I was to make any recommendations it may be ramp access for prams or wheelchairs

A really friendly practice where you are made to feel welcome and immediately put at ease. I appreciate the fact that everything is explained clearly to me and I am fully involved in any decisions about treatment.  
I have always been seen on time and have no hesitation in recommending the Fresh Smile Clinic to anyone.
