Beautiful interior and very cosy, especially when you can sit near the bar. Staff is friendly. Food is OK, but not spectacular for this price. Especially when adding the wine pairing it gets quite expensive and you to a Michelin star price for a place that is more like a nice brasserie. Food was good, but value for money there are better places in London
Dined in with a group of 4, we all ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing , foods were delicious paired with TINY amount of wine for each course, they are charging £75 for each person for the wine pairing, sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable but wish he could be more generous on serving the wines. Our waitress looks uninterested when serving us and not dressed properly for the job. We paid £714 for the meal, not quite the Michelin standard we were expected, better off ordering drinks separately with the £300 we have paid toward the wine pairing. We were sitting downstairs right outside the open space kitchen, chef and kitchen staff were all working diligently as a team to prepare our foods, but they could do better with the service and definitely need to adjust the wine volume. 3 stars overall, ended the night with slight disappointment and very sober!
Food was average on the prefixe menu. There was nothing wrong with it but nothing great either. Felt it was Overpriced for the portion size and flavour was not outstanding to justify it. It came beautifully presented but I wasn’t blown away. Would I come back again? Maybe but probably not. Atmosphere is lovely and staff were attentive. Drinks and cocktails were good.3.5 stars if I could give it.
Loved this place. Gorgeous food - Parmesan ball nibbles were one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Attentive service, classy decor. Good value lunch menu. Has aircon!Food: 5/5
Frenchie in Paris is difficult to get a reservation, so I was very glad to be able to just walk in the Convent Garden branch for a mid week lunch. The food was pretty and yummy. The confit cod was probably one of the best cooked fish dish I've ever had.Food: 5/5
Nice dining experience as the food is full of flavour. We’ve been to Frenchie twice and it’s always been a pleasant visit, the service is professional and they have a great selection of wines. The menu is changing a little with the season, for example the foie gras has every season a different twist. The second time we’ve been there I found everything a bit too sweet, but that might have been just me.. I would come again!
My Ma and I had lunch here on a Saturday pre-theatre at midday. Weather was good so were instantly offered seating either in or outside. We opted for the latter. Excellent attention to detail as although it was bright there was still a wind so the team put heaters on and lifted the glass wind-breaks. All staff French - which I love - as miss that country. Attentive and excellent command of English. From the signature cocktail - Frenchmen in NY. Gin based… through to our oat cappuccinos, the food was first class! Although in the heart of a tourist area we could have been well almost in St Germain!
Absolutely phenomenal! Even though due to outdoor seating only, the small menu was perfect! I’ve had 7 out of the 10 dishes and they were all phenomenal! I will definitely go again when their full menu will be back!
34 quid for 3 great courses with nice staff and atmosphere, you can't really ask for better in Covent Garden. The rosemary sherbet sorbet that comes with the lemon tart is worth visiting for by itself!Food: 5/5
1. It's a decent french restaurant but the table is stainless steel without any table cloth. Not impressed. 2. Went for the set menu, the grilled vegetable is cold and a bit over cooked and the sauce is nothing outstanding but salty. For the main, the cod and lamb belly are good quality and well cooked but again so salty and flavouring is just "nice". The only thing that I really liked might be the bacon scone. But it's tinnnny
