Came here with friends during the evening on a weekday. Atmosphere was was calming and staff were very nice to let me in 15 minutes before my reservation time. For starters I ordered the onion soup, which was very delicious, and for mains I ordered the Gazette burger which was surprisingly very tasty worth the money spent.Food: 4/5
If you’re looking for a great beef tartare, done the old skool way, you’ll be in luck at Gazette Battersea. Although it’s slightly hidden away behind a condo near the Thames, they have a nice outdoor seating area when the sun’s out, to get in the French vibe. The tartare is prepared in front of you so it’s served wonderfully fresh and each bite is packed with juicy flavour. The seafood bisque was tasty and the ingredients were fresh. The service took a little waving occasionally, probably as we were outside, but they were friendly and attentive when we had their attention. It’s a nice place to relax and have wine with some great tasting French treats.

Light evening meal of warm octopus with asparagus and a sauce. Mid week quite late it was quiet though the feeling was warm and welcoming. I'm going to return to enjoy a full meal. Recommended.Food: 4/5
So wanted to love this, but very mediocre all round. Even waiting for the menu was tedious. Maybe the reasonable prices speak to that. They got our order wrong so while mine was okay, my friend had to wait while they corrected his completely wrong dish sent. This also meant the two sides didn't come out till his was ready, by which time my mushroom risotto was luke warm. Not that it made much difference because it was hard to taste either mushrooms or parmesan. I might have been eating a rice pudding! And why not serve everyone a small basket of French bread in a French restaurant, especially when making someone wait while you cook the correct dish? We noticed half the tables were given bread and half not. I also don't like when the restaurant adds a tip of their choosing rather than leaving it to the guest to decide? I guess it works in their favour because our meal was not worthy of a 12.5% service charge but I was too British to deduct it.
We wanted a relaxing spot supper, and this was just what we wanted. My youngest had the escargot and they were perfectly cooked, not over done!Food: 5/5
Truly and exotic French restaurant in south west London. Never know there is a beautiful place over here. Very classic and has lots of antique collection display in the restaurant. We were sat at a corner quiet area where we had our own time. Ordered a few dishes to share and were satisfied with the dishes. Tartare were divine! I wanted to get a dessert to end the day but had to wait over 10 minutes for the waitress to notice and take our order. Didn’t go for dessert at the end. Overall, it is a nice French restaurant to give it a try!
Booked this French place for a work Christmas dinner and it was the best choice ever! The little secluded private long table was so cute and perfect for us! The concept of choosing your order in advance despite not having access to the vegan options was a bit of a tech issue. But other than that, the food was delicious, and I think the best thing was the service! Francois was just so fun, and amazing! He definitely is one of the reason we’ve had an excellent night! Thank you again!
A really lovely local French restaurant serving a well balanced classics French menu, chef and the team doing a great job in the kitchen of creating delicious sauces and dishes and front of house staff following that through confidently too. We went for a weekend lunch a la carte and found a huge variety of things we would happily order. Great choice of French wines and delicious French style cocktails. Highly recommend, just order a dessert each!
Great quality genuine french food locally. I've been a number of times and it's always been good brasserie quality. Would recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner. Also they allow dogs inside and outside the restaurant which is great because it's on the Thames Path so is a good stopping point on the walk with the dog for a coffee, beer, wine, or lunch.
