We came on a Tuesday night, where it is bring your own wine paying a small corking fee. The service was very good generally, although the waiting staff did forget about us for the first 20/30 minutes. The food itself was very well portioned, and very tasty. Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert also. Was reasonably priced working at around £25/head for a shared starter, a main and a shared dessert, however this was on the basis of bringing our own wine of course.
A laid back atmosphere, nice staff, good food and a good selection of wine. Good children's menu and priced fairly. A good choice of vegan food too. We just popped in for lunch. Did not need a reservation. Very nice decor
Great atmosphere and food is excellent. Sometimes the music could be a bit loud. Try out the chicken and waffle, beef rib with jalapeño bread! Real warmth on a cold winter morning!
Visited for brunch: pretty good, not great. Brunch menu is quite small, portions are... restrained verging on small -- and this is also true of Foxlow Clerkenwell. Food was mostly good; sausages and bacon were excellent, as was the fried chicken. Prices reasonable. Service was brisk verging on rushed. I suspect it's a better place for dinner than brunch.
I'd actually give this 4.5 but being generous as we were here pre-Christmas for brunch. Loose half a star as service was very slow to begin with. But we had really tasty avacado toast and good beer selection.
Popped in for a spontaneous brunch. Although they had a table, it was pretty busy so I would recommend you book to avoid disappointment. They décor is very cute - they have a bit of a 70's vibe going on. Brunch options are a little different - not all your usual avo and eggs. The food was tasty - the sausage gravy was definitely worth a try. Service was friendly, but a little rushed, but that's not a surprise given that they were super busy.
Not the best, there were two of us seated quite quickly for brunch. We waited far too long to be served and far too long for asking for the bill. It was also very loud similar to the usual loud pubs with people shouting at each other. It wasn't comfortable and it did not feel like a nice restaurant as a result. Food was very average and over priced. We had the waffle with fried chicken and an egg, perhaps their burgers would have been better. But for us we can't justify coming back.
Enjoyed a fantastic brunch here with a group. Booked ahead and had excellent service, with everyone enjoying the delicious food. Price-wise, it seemed standard for London, but thankfully the food did stand up to the cost. Only issue was that those who had Bloody Mary's seemed unimpressed, which isn't what you'd want for what are definitely "London-priced" cocktails.
Really nice food but service was slow considering they weren't that busy. Waitress could have been more attentive, was often a struggle to get their attention.
This is my local brunch spot and I love it. Chicken and waffles are fantastic and the ice coffees have saved me from a lot of hangovers. Staff are always friendly and accommodating and I really like the laid back atmosphere
