I'm sorry to say I shall never be returning to this branch again after the appalling service received by my Girlfriend. I wont bore you with the details, however, to sum up, she was made to feel very uncomfortable and as though everything was too much trouble. All she needed was a puncture investigating. F1 failed to diagnose a damaged alloy and proceeded to try and sell her some tyres 30% above the price listed on their website. She went to a local garage instead, had her alloy repaired and new tyres fitted whilst being made to feel very comfortable and looked after. POOR POOR SERVICE F1! shame as I have previously had relatively good service from them.

UPDATE: Head Office have now contacted me and apologised for the problems and offered remediation which I have accepted. I still won't be returning to the Basildon branch but I will continue using F1 at their Chelmsford one. Very Poor experience. Had ordered tyres for a PM fitting and promptly arrived at 12.10. Was not told there was an exceptionally long wait and at no point as I waited was I told there were any problems. Eventually the tyres were fitted over 3 hours later and no apology or explanation on why it took so long. To top it all off on the way home the centre cap on the wheel came flying off as it had not been put back on properly. I usually use the Chelmsford branch of F1 and never had any issues there and won't be returning to the Basildon branch again.

Bought three new Goodyear tyres on their website for my Golf and to be fitted at my local F1 autocentre. As soon as I drove out of the workshop I noted something was not right. The car was like driving on floating water. After about 400 yards the car tyre pressure warning like come on and I had to pull in a petrol station to have the tyre pressure check. To my surprise,the three new tyres pressure were 36,35 and 33 psi respectively.The correct pressure should be 30 psi max. No wonder the car was like floating when these new tyres have such excessive pressure. But that was probably not the worst.While adjusting the tyres pressure,I noted that none of the three new tyres I bought have the red and blue doted lines around the tyres. For the last 28 years with all new tyres I purchased in any garages,all new tyres have this red and blue doted line markings around the whole tyre to prove that it had not been used or driven. The absence of this markings made me believe that theses are nearly new and not brand new tyres.
