I visited with friends and we had a lovely lunch here. Their lamb roast and burgers were delicious. Their garden is quite big, and they have several tables with umbrellas in case it gets too sunny for you. Lovely staff, great pub and tasty food. Perfect for a weekend roast!
Really cute little beer garden with a good selection of Long Man beers. Was the perfect spot for a drink after a walk in the ashdown forest. Didn’t have food but would be interested in trying it next time!Service: 5/5
Gorgeous little pub we stumbled upon after a dog walk. We were greeted by a friendly landlord who also welcomed our dog in too.. We visited Saturday 4pm-ish and there were plenty of patron parking and places to sit. We only stayed for 1 drink but would love to go back and eat.. They had an open fireplace which sadly wasn't lit at the time but I hope it would be next time..perfect after a long weekend dog walk. Decore was awesome and their walls are peppered with interesting artifacts.. To top it off.. As we left there was huge rainbow in the sky. Definitely a sign that we should return.. This hidden pot of gold is definitely on our list of places to go back to Parking: No issues at all.. See photo Kid-friendliness: There were families with very well manored small children.
Having recently been taken over, we decided to visit this local village pub for a Saturday evening meal. What a difference the new owner and the lovely staff have made! The pub garden, in particular, has had a makeover and looks great. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely and the staff couldn't be more friendly. It's also dog-friendly. We had fish and chips and lamb rump, both of which were excellent. We were tempted into the frangipane tart pudding with ice cream made by Chef, which was excellent too! All in all, a huge improvement. Well done! Please, please, please keep it up...! Parking: Sufficient parking Wheelchair accessibility: No big steps or major obstructions
We had the most beautiful meal at the Foresters Arms today. The food is presented in the most amazing way, and tastes excellent. You can really tell how much hard work, effort and thought goes into all of their dishes. The service is also outstanding, thank you to all of the lovely staff that was there today, you really made the family birthday meal a truly great one. The overall atmosphere to the place is wonderful and you are made to feel so comfortable here! We will most definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Visited the Forester Arms on a fully booked Saturday night just after their reopening following their kitchen refresh and everything was absolutely perfect. Despite being very busy, every member of staff was friendly and attentive. We weren’t rushed at all but also not left waiting around at all. Orders taken quickly, drinks arrived promptly and perfect gap between food. The food itself was just as perfect and plentiful as always. I went for the avocado and sweet potato starter, a combination I hadn’t thought of before but pairs together deliciously. Then had the monk fish tails for main and it was the best monk fish I’ve ever had. Cooked so perfectly, it melted in the mouth but still had plenty of flavour. Husband went for a refreshing chicken salad and again, chicken cooked so well, flavour but moist. This really is the perfect place for a nice dinner, family friendly and there always seems to be locals and their dogs who all know one another but you’re not left feeling like an outsider for not being a ‘regular’ - hard balance to strike and this place manages it perfectly.
Booked ahead, weekday lunch for 4. Food is normal everyday pub fare, nothing fancy. That's fine if done well but although quite tasty there was a mixture of warm not hot and cold in most dishes, and 1 was served a good 5 minutes after the other 3. Quite expensive. Moderately busy, perhaps there was insufficient staff on. Waitress was nice and smiley.
We've been meaning to visit this pub for years but never got around to doing so. Went here on the spur of the moment and was very pleasantly surprised, a lovely village pub with a fair range of beers available. Great service from the staff and a very interesting menu. Food was very good and a fair portion. Think we'll be going back again soon.
Popped in here for a drink with family after visiting Ashdown Forest. Fantastic setting in the rear beer garden on a day like today and wonderful service from the chap behind the bar who even helped me carry drinks to the table. Will visit again. Thank you.Service: 5/5
We were a group of 11 adults and kids who pitched up on a Sunday. The boss sorry i didnt ask her name was very accommodating and drinks orders were really quick. They also made us off the menu Irish coffee. The food was awesome. Special shout out to Charlie and Ryder for a cracking service. Cheers!Food: 5/5
