The Lamb is a beautiful country pub, bar and restaurant with an inviting patio and beer garden in the historic village of Piltdown in East Sussex.

Story

Come and enjoy live jazz on the first Sunday of every month.
Next Jazz Date : 7th May

Take away fish and chips available 6-9pm every Thursday.

We also cater for private functions, weddings and parties as well as outside catering and hog roasts, please contact us for details.

After the pub being closed for so long it is so lovely to see it back open under new management. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The pub has been redecorated beautifully with a traditional gastro pub feel to it, also plenty of space for outdoor drinking and dining, and space for kids to play.
Went along for the first day opening. Very friendly, lovely decor inside but outside definitely rushed. We ordered 3 starters to share which were delicious. Calamari nice and tender as was the slices of beef on the bruschetta. Looking forward to going back!
We travelled 30 miles to this pub as they are one of the rare pubs to serve Hoffmeister lager on tap. We had great service and loved the food. The Hoffmeister in tankards did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. Might stick to a mixture of small bites next time to make room for dessert! Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access, permanent ramp within pub and wheelchair accessible toilet
Nice drinks and tasty food. This pub has great parking lots of space and easy access. There indoor and outdoor seating available. I attend here for Ford Rs owners club sometimes so added a few photos of this. Would recommend

The staff were so lovely and friendly, and most conscientious given that lockdown has only just started lifting for pubs. The battered fish was AMAZING, delicious and somehow buttery in the best way. They were probably too generous with the chips!! Will definitely return.

Came here based on reviews. When arrived wasn't sure it was open Friday eve?. Not many people inside and cold. But was served in good time. Menu was simple. Our food was tasty and good enough, though nachos were a bit too much and curry a bit too little for us.....Food: 4/5
The staff was extremely warm and friendly and lots of fun to chat with. The food was good and flavourful although the portion sizes were slightly to large for my own liking. I had the fish and chips and it was amazing. The menu wasn’t massive which I like because then I’m not conflicted between different options. I might try and win on the wings Wednesday and get the cash prize. Overall I really loved it and hope to go there again with friends.
Lovely staff Christmas dinner. We love this pub it’s is friendly and the food is amazing. Cater for my nut allergy and isn’t ’basic’ pub grub! It’s a real mix of Asian fusion and English dishes. Flavours are delicious. Would highly recommend. Annie the owner is so welcoming and friendly.
