My sister had an appointment to discuss that she had been falling over, the doctor we seen very obnoxious. When asked what we were there for I said a few things to be honest he then he replied I am only a stand in doctor and we only have 10 minutes. We were there to ask for a referral for a full body scan due to her having falls, and having some memory loss, after asking her a few questions he told her to reduce one of her tablets, it wasn't until I mentioned that she had, had breast cancer he then looked at her records, my sister then told him she had found a few lumps on her breast, he handed her a phone number and told her to make an appointment with them, no examination was done or a referral. When we went back home my niece rang the number and was told that it had to be a referral from the doctor we were all so angry with everything that had happened , when we rang the surgery the receptionist we were told that she had to use the patches app the next day, she can't even use her phone properly due to the memory loss so I got up early the following morning to go the surgery to complain about the doctor not doing a referral we eventually got an appointment with Dr mcgloughlin who was lovely and done an examination then done the referral. I would like an appointment with the practice manager to discuss this matter. You will have my details as I am with the same practice.nCarol Pownell
Needed urgent advice regarding my Aunt who is on end of life care. Receptionist, Phoebe, was professional ,caring, reassuring & dealt with my request efficiently.
Had appointment with grandson with terrible ear ache, screaming in pain. Doctor checked him and said both ears are clear. Took him the drop in centre later on as still in pain, he had one ear which was red raw, the other had a perforated drum. Ford lane medical practice are a complete and utter joke. Should be struck off, incompetent and dismissive, if this is your doctors, change it fast. Maggots.
Been here for over 14 years, and it used to be a good Dr`s, however as other reviews have said, waiting times to get through are horrific 40-70 minutesand even the odd time when I get through as first caller in the morning, no appointments as they prioritise people waiting outside.nnI have just called and I was at position 30, 30!!!! I keep getting letters and texts saying I need to be seen, yet I haven't been able to get an appointments for over 4 weeks, I'm just told to call back in the morning and it all starts again.nnSome of the receptionist are lovely, but there is 1 or 2 who are rude and obnoxious.nnMy family are at a different GP who I have just called to see if I can go there instead, the phone was answered in less than a minute and no stupidly long voice message at the start to tell you to go to the walk-in centre or the chemist etc.nnIf I could have put zero stars I would have done, it is pointless having a GP if you cannot get an appointment.
Left me waiting 1 hour for an appointment and then when I ask will they be much longer her reply wasn“ Sorry they can’t see they’ve got no computers”nOnly been sat there an hour !!nAbsolute joke of a doctors and the old receptionist with the short bob hair has got a major attitude problem and shouldn’t be in that job.
