Great place for sushi. Very delicious and good service. Recommend
Grabbed a quick lunch on a Friday with a couple of Friends. Had a chicken Katsu curry, was awesome and shared some prawn toast which had an entire prawn battered into it with a light batter and some pork dumplings. All the food was really good. It was quiet so the service was rapid, but good atmosphere and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go again and try some more items from their menu.
Really fresh and tasty sushi. I used to work round the corner from here and would often come here for my lunch. I would highly recommend it.
Eaten there 4 times now, and have always eaten in the restaurant or picked up take-away the complaints all appear to be about their delivery. The lunch menu is expensive £25 head inc service for 3 courses and a drink but everything I've had has been wonderful... Except the Spider roll. which was simply not to my taste. The "Asian Paella" was tasty but a bit too too spicy for, with no warning on the lunch menu, . The sushi bombs and dragon roll are gorgeous however,
Avoid if you like authentic Japanese cuisine. Or if you like to eat within one hour of ordering your food. Or you tend to dislike sushi that tastes like last week's Yo Sushi's leftovers and gives you food poisoning. Or you don't particularly enjoy being served by staff that don't even know the menu. Well, maybe you simply should avoid this place. Unless you're a masochist, that is. Enjoy!
I ordered food on 19th of November Southwark Branch with the following note: Delivery information: IMPORTANT!: We don't eat pork so please change the pork dumplings with shrimp&chicken. Also baby is sleeping. Please ring us and don't buzz the door. Thanks. First of all, they buzzed the door and baby woke up but I can live with that. The actual problem is, there was pork in the dumplings! So ignoring the ones that I wasn't aware, they made me eat pork after 34 years... I am not mentioning that the rest of the food was horrible either. I mean this branch was good, we loved the food so far but I don't know what happened, the food turned to really bad for our last 3-4 orders. This was the last drop. Imagine that I had allergies! This is no joke, people can get hurt. When I called the manager he simply and negligently said he is sorry and he can refund *only* the dumplings which still they haven't yet. I am not going to chase this, I am just sad watching a beloved restaurant going bad like this.
The food was freezing cold when it got to our door, two hours late!! We had to heat everything cooked up again, and it tasted foul when it was heated again. We've never had such bad japanese food and sushi in our lives, and I would suggest people avoid this place at all costs.
Used to enjoy the sushi regularly but the last few times the avocado was really under ripe and inedible, and the rolls are expensive to not be spot on. The final time I ordered I was very unwell afterwards so haven't ordered again since.
This is an odd restaurant. In fact I'm actually reviewing the restaurant here, which isn't branded 'Flying Fish', but 'Bonburi'. The kitchen is the same though. The food is very good. Great Kara Age, lovely dumplings, eel is good, nice teriyaki salmon, sashimi is good. The staff are also nice. But the service overall is rather odd. Firstly, you have to order on these little bits of paper, which is a bit irritating. Oh, that's very Japanese I hear people saying. Yeah, I don't care. Often things don't quite turn up as expected missing dishes, things come with somewhat random timings, etc. They also make you share dips and things by bringing fewer than one per dish, which personally I don't mind, but some might. The really strange thing is that the delivery menu is different. And better in many ways 4 dumplings per option instead of 3, extra dishes available. I still eat there regularly and would recommend it, partly because of this sightly quirky charm. And because the food is excellent.
food was nice and enjoyable the shop looked really beautiful but your business needs more negative reviews as there was food on the floor next to my table and very bad costumer service. a lady in particular with glasses was rude. food takes long to come and when it does the starters come with the main food not to mention the inappropriate arguing between people that work here . i was ignored once i was seated and didn't enjoy my experience overall.
