I recently had cause to visit on a Wednesday and was absolutely amazed by the atmosphere, I usually only attend of a weekend if passing, but this was on a different level. I returned on the following Sunday and it was even better. I hadn’t seen the DJ there before, he had a crazy shirt and was like Norman Cooke, it reminded me of Pop World five years ago when I went every Saturday. Flares staff are brilliant and it’s the cheapest bar on Mathew Street, when I thought things couldn’t get any better, I found out they sell Newcastle Brown Ale. This has become my regular Sunday and Wednesday night haunt. Well done Flares management, you’ve nailed this, please keep it up.
What a fantastic place- great staff and great music. All the songs were great and Dan the barman was so lovely and recommending me and my mates drinks. Definitely go here for a fun night out of singing and dancing til late!Food: 5/5

Visited on Saturday with a mate looking for somewhere to finish our night out, although it would've been worthwhile had we both called it quits before even coming here. The service we received was ridiculous, I think her name was either Kirstin or Kirsty who served us and she couldn't have appeared more rude and unbothered about being there and serving us our last drinks. Add to this the time she spent on her phone before even recognising and starting to serve us, there was genuinely no need for the time we waited. The rest of the place was ok I guess, most people seemed to be enjoying themselves enough but I can think of other places on Matthew Street alone I'd rather just continue revisiting on further nights out, everyone I know and myself included here have never liked Flares much to begin with so this was a rare instance when visiting on Saturday and suffice to say it never fails to disappoint me and my mates.
Nyx, Kirstie and Millie really made this an unforgettable experience 10/10 service would really recommend for a quality night out and Alan played great tunes all night. Even the manager Tom was very helpful with drink choicesService: 5/5

However, what made my night exceptional was the outstanding service provided by Beth. Her warm demeanor and attentiveness transformed our evening; she anticipated our needs and offered insightful drink recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. Beth’s professionalism and genuine passion for her job not only enhanced our experience but also made us feel valued as guests. I highly recommend this nightclub, especially if you have the pleasure of being served by Beth!
THIS is my go-to every time I’m out, if I know friends are going out I just say “FLARES! FLARES! FLARES!” the atmosphere is amazing, Dj takes requests and shout outs, drinks aren’t extortionate, doormen are friendly. manager can have a laugh. it’s a great place! I’ve introduced it to many people and they’ve all recommended it!!!
I went to Flares for the first time recently and had an amazing night - all staff were brilliant from security through to the bar staff. One of them in particular was superb I can’t remember her name but I believe she was a Geordie. 10/10!
Had an amazing time out with friends here. Staff were really friendly and especially phoenix who was super insightful and helpful when choosing drinks. Tunes are amazing !!Food: 5/5
