Had lunch today with family could not fault anything. Staff all friendly and polite very clean. 1 of the best pubs in the city. Defo recomend for a great day out. Well done to all.Food: 5/5
The food was a bit bad and once I drank my drink it tasted like it had poison in it.They don’t even have a gluten free menu and it’s took my food 40 minutes for it to come. The spring rolls with the duck was also very soggy.Food: 2/5
Breakfast great value, excellent service. Tried to go in the Wetherspoons opposite initially 'The Captain Alexander' but was packed, noisy. The Liverpool was ideal for us with a good atmosphere.Food: 5/5
Came in to meet our daughter for lunch what can I say about John he was absolutely amazing his helpless and friendliness was absolutely 100percent the place was so clean the lad never stopped your an absolute credit to the company and by the way only ordered 2 bacon on toast and a tuna jacket but the food was absolutely lovely and good value for money it's our daughters birthday next Wednesdayso can't wait to meet up in her dinner hour and come to the Liverpool for lunch John is simply the very bestxxx
Was interrogated by the "door staff" as if I was a suicide bomber because I had a backpack on. I carry a backpack with a collapsible walking stick as I damaged my knee six weeks ago and need it after walking long distances. He then harangued me over the fact I had a bottle of mineral water and a restaurant would take issue with me bringing my own water so implying I shouldn't be bringing a bottle into a pub. I had already been to a restaurant and another pub with A:the backpack and B: the bottle of water with no problems whatsoever. If this was a joke I don't find it funny. I have not felt this unwelcome in decades and certainly will not recommend your establishment to friends or family.
Called in for a drink during my sisters Hen Night Out had a lovely time. The singer made her night! Thank you to all who contributed to making our time here great
Really nice Bar! Watched the Liverpool game there and had a lovely time. Food is mostly homemade and delicious. Prices decent. Only the women's toilett could be renovated a little bit lock broken on one of three toilets. Overall a lovely stay. Definitely recommended
Great bar very friendly staff good variety of beverages and also good food menu at very competitive prices would highly recommend.
Well, this review has been a while in coming….I visited the Liverpool Pub in May of 1990! My mom’s cousin and family own it. We are from the US and finally made it for a visit to our family in England. They are lovely people and I am not surprised that they get so many 5 star reviews! I miss all of you! With love Del’s youngest daughter, Jayne
